Few Doubts - Viva Engage
Hello everyone!
I have some questions about viva engage, I hope someone can help me.
- Is it possible to hide the "create a community" option, so that only a few users that I select can see it?
- How can I schedule posts? For us it's very important to know how, because all the communication we had on Facebook, we now do on Viva Engage.
- When I remove or add a member to a community (1 to 1 or by csv file), how can I turn off email notification? we don't want anyone to receive notification that they have been removed or added to the community.
- Is there an option we can configure to disable all notifications for all users? and then each one can configure it as required.
- Is there a way for the user to update the cover photo and profile photo?
Regards,
Sarai

- SaraiCopper ContributorHi Kevin,
Thanks for your reply. I have a question about the premium licenses mentioned in the post, do you know what type of premium licenses it refers to?
Regards!
Sarai.
Hi! 🙂
I'll see if I can answer most of your questions
1. You can't really limit it without limiting users from create SharePoint and Teams sites unfortunately. Better to work and teach the user together with having a lifecycle management and governance process.
2. Schedule posts is still in development: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ww/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=155843
3. If I remember correctly, an User doesn't get notification that they have been removed. Else you can teach the user to disable it themself (I recommend this)
4. No, this isn't possible right now but a workaround is to block the email adress for all users. Or teach them how to disable the notification they don't want 🙂
5. Yes, but you will change for your whole Office profile. as Viva engage makes use of the office profile. Cover photo isn't supported right now

Sarai- No worries, if you have any additonal questions just ping or tag me here 🙂 Viva Engage is among the best tools an organisation has for building culture and communities
As for Premium license, it's the Microsoft Viva Employee Communications and Communities or Viva Suite license 🙂
