What's new in Windows Package Manager 1.4

Last week, the Windows Package Manager team released WinGet 1.4. What's new?

 

• Support for .zip-based packages
• Additional manifest values in the output (if present): tags, purchase URL, etc.
• New command aliases! 
  • add for install
  • update for upgrade
  • remove and rm for uninstall
  • ls for list
  • config for settings
• Enhancements to detect that a package was already installed and switch to the upgrade flow.
