Xbox Game Bar is a really handy tool, especially if you're already using Windows 11. It's primarily meant for gaming, but it's also great for recording regular screen activity.
First, you need to make sure it's enabled. Typically, you can summon the Game Bar by pressing Win + G. If not, you may need to go to Settings, find the "Gaming" settings, and make sure the Xbox Game Bar switch is on there.
To record your screen using Xbox Game Bar, follow these steps:
- Press Win + G to bring up the Xbox Game Bar interface.
- Click the volume icon and make sure both "System Sound" and "Microphone" are turned on.
- Click the "Record" button to start recording, or use the Win + Alt + R shortcut.
- Press Win + Alt + R again or click the "Stop" button on the Xbox Game Bar.
- The recorded video is automatically saved in the "Captures" subfolder of the "Videos" folder.
It's that simple! This way you can quickly record screen on Windows 11 with audio.
