Try this to get rid of the "Start back up" button in Windows Explorer address bar:
- Open RegEdit
- Go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StorageProvider\OneDrive
- Remove or rename the key StorageProviderKnownFolderSyncInfoSourceFactory
- Restart Windows Explorer

That seems to have worked for me, though I haven't restarted or had any updates yet. For step 4, all I had to do was make sure all Explorer windows were closed (I was also checking Task Manager), then I started it up again with Windows-E and clicked "Desktop" which is one of the usual victims of this advertising. Doesn't seem to be whining about missing its registry key in the event log, either.
