Windows 11 cold boot keyboard issues.
Hi,
I recently upgraded a Lenovo T470 from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. Everything works on the upgrade except the keyboard on a cold boot.
From a power off state if I turn the laptop on when it launches into Windows 11 the keyboard and the eraserpoint mouse do not work; the touchpad does work. If I warm boot the machine the keyboard and eraserpoint mouse work fine until the machine is turned off again.
I've tried changing drivers and going through all of the troubleshooting with the keyboard but to no avail. Outside of windows (pre-boot & BIOS) the keyboard works fine. Previously in Windows 10 there were never any issues with the keyboard.
I have compared drivers with like systems running Windows 10. The driver is the same Standard PS/2 keyboard.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Larzuk

It's possible that power management settings are affecting the keyboard's functionality. In Device Manager, right-click on your keyboard device, go to Properties, then the Power Management tab. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and see if that helps.
