For this to be as seamless as possible is it recommended to have end users signed into the Edge Browser? It appears when I go to the new Bing.com I am auto signed into it, just wondering if the signed into the browser plays into anything?

If you are signed into Edge with AAD credentials you've established a work account in the browser that should also remember if you have previously signed into Bing.com with your AAD credentials. It's possible that you signed into Bing.com with AAD before and it's simply remembering that and triggering a login.
