- josesolis49Copper ContributorWe will have in the future Third Party Management Updates in Intune?
- NigelIron ContributorVery random question - will Self-deploying AutoPilot deployment mode ever come out of Preview 🙂
- Eric_WuOccasional ReaderWhen we talking about moving the endpoint management from on-premise to cloud , do you think sccm will quit the stage some day in the future and totally replace by intune?
- Chad SimmonsIron ContributorShort answer is that ConfigMgr's not dead and it won't be for a long, long time. Here's the video response: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXkCkQjjnSs&t=2710s

If only there were a solution for "evergreen" applications. *cough* ... Microsoft Store + UWP + MSIX
- SivakumarRamanathanCopper ContributorThank you, Matt., As you highlighted, we face the same challenges as bigger organizations. We are 5K-6K devices. We made the Windows Autopilot to work in HAAD method - Pre-provision. My challenge is our management treat this whole autopilot as a replacement to the traditional imaging solution MDT. They want all the work to be done in Pre-provision phase all the 14 applications install, Windows update to the latest patch level, bit-locker encryption. We made it work and provisioned almost multiple hundred devices. Now, I am facing time to time challenges on the stability. random provisioning failure due to one app install, randonly PC is not getting encrypted. We are not able to feel We made this technology to work 100%. It never seems to be happening whereas in traditional imaging method it's almost certain this model is going to work when you setup it correctly. Stability is big concern overall.
- ToddMoteBrass ContributorThank you Matt for identifying the 1,000 to 25,000 endpoint space and it's challenges. Higher Ed is here and we often keep the only 2 people from 1000 all the way to 25000. Hi-Ed has other challenges like federation that hinder us a lot. some of it is cultural, some is technical. no question really, just a comment about acknowledging the customer segment.

Our biggest problem with moving this modern device management style has been finding "Autopilot Ready" PCs, Peripherals and Software. I have created a shared spreadsheet to help admins find the rare gems and push our industry toward modern device management.

My question is, what is Microsoft doing to ensure venders are; ensuring boot-start drivers are in the base Windows install, ensuring drivers are in Windows Update, and adding their applications to the Microsoft Store?
