Event Ended
Friday, Jun 10, 2022, 08:00 AM PDTEvent details
We recently released a long-awaited capability called Co-management Settings. This allows your devices to be "cloud born" with Windows Autopilot and immediately enrolled into co-management. Join in on this conversation with the feature PM, devs, and real-world IT pros to discuss the new capability, how best to use it, and what's next.
Special guests today include PMs Daniel Weisberg and Bruno Venturi plus Microsoft MVPs Johannes Kristjansson and Adam Gross.
We'll also be answering your questions so post them below in the Comments.

For those of you looking for UserVoice, we moved that to https://aka.ms/IntuneFeedback. Post your feedback and upvote your peers' feedback! - MHimkenCopper ContributorHey All, the CCM is updated during installation automatically to the most recent agent. When does that happen? With a parameter? With a scheduled task? I’d like to understand. Thanks
- You're getting the latest bootstrap launcher from Intune. Then the bootstrap will hit your site to find the client media that's published on your site server. So you won't get a version that's higher than what you are using in production/pilot.
- MartinHimkenBrass ContributorHey Adam, I should've been more careful with my words 😅 I wanted to understand the point where the handoff between the bootstrapper and the download from "my" CMG happens, because that'd be the point where I'd expect stuff to break. I will try to look into it as well. Thanks for your answer.

Is there a demo or soup to nuts walkthrough of this new feature?- Heather_Poulsen

Not currently. Guess what just got added to Danny's "to do" list?
- gharatmCopper ContributorAny plans to make the life of an Intune administrator easier by making Intune reach with logs like SCCM? 😞
- Nick WileyBrass ContributorYes to add to Johannes question, I would be curios as to what the "detection method" is for this as its a policy and not necessarily and app, will it recheck if the client is installed?
- NigelIron ContributorWouldn't this be for hybrid autopilot....

Hybrid Azure AD is an Identity thing, where Cloud attach & co-management is a Management thing. There's a fine line between those. You do not need to be Hybrid Azure AD joined in order to use co-management. This is for co-management and does not work in a Hybrid Azure AD environment. - No, this is only for Azure AD Joined Autopilot. It won't support hybrid or pre-preprovisioned Autopilot scenarios.
- NigelIron ContributorThanks Adam, I will continue to try to get our clients over to AzAD....I guess we will stick with our scheduled task install.
- MattyPtheOGCopper ContributorAny chance to get the new Co-management setting to assign these settings to Intune managed devices hybrid AADJ devices so if their Config Mgr client is orphaned offsite with no connectivity, that they can get the new Co-management setting (say forcing Intune for Endpoint Protection). Looks like this is only for Autopilot devices. Not that advanced yet 😞
- This will work for any devices that you target the new policy to, not just part of Autopilot. So it would work for the scenario you described.
- MattyPtheOGCopper ContributorWow! I need to try it. I thought it was on Autopilot devices only. I meant that my organization wasn't that advanced, I always appreciate the new features and MEM community. Thanks!
