What plans do you have for improving the information available in the Intune admin center with regards to driver / firmware updates? Thinking particularly about a better description of the device drivers and the devices that these updated drivers are applicable to. Currently in the Intune admin center you often seen drivers listed with the same description but with a different version number and its not clear whether these are simply superseded drivers (and you should only install the latest version) or they relate to different components.

We understand that improving the clarity of driver and firmware information is a top priority for many customers.
To address this, we plan to introduce the following enhancements:
- Applicable Devices: This feature will show a breakdown of the device models applicable for the driver and will allow you to view or export the full list of applicable devices. This will provide a quick overview of the types of devices the driver will be offered to, along with the ability to see exactly which devices are applicable.
- Driver Model: This feature will provide additional insights about the specific hardware or software components each driver affects. Identifying drivers can sometimes be challenging, and this extra context will help clarify what the driver does or what it targets.
Drivers are published independently, dependencies on other drivers are not allowed. Direct supersedence is not captured and can only be inferred. We hope these two features will provide additional clarity, helping you better differentiate between similar drivers, understand the devices and components they target, and make more informed decisions.
