We have this weird issue where users will get a message pop up stating Windows needs their current credentials and they need to lock their device and use their password instead of their Windows Hello PIN code. The devices are AADJ and they only get the popup when they use their device on the corporate LAN, but not their personal network. I've enabled the policy for Kerberos Cloud Trust, but it doesn't appear to solve the issue of the popup going away when launching Office products. Any thoughts?

How do I convince my management team to transition from HAADJ to AADJ 😅

I've had a few people this week who could not launch Teams on the desktop, apparently after some update. Uninstalling and re-installing fixed it for all but one user. When the user (after the re-install) tried to launch Teams from the Start menu, they see the white progress bar, but nothing else.
Are you aware of some issue related to this, and is there a fix?

Christina, head over to the Teams Tech Community at Category: Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Community Hub to post/check into whether or not this is an issue that others are experiencing. Thanks!

After upgrading to Win11 24H2 from Win11 23H2, our PCs randomly do not display the CTRL+ALT+DEL (and clock) when resuming from sleep. Has anyone else seen this? Likely going to open a support case.

This sounds like it will require a support case. I have not heard of this issue happening.

Is there a best practice/guide Microsoft recommends on transitioning from an on-prem network share drive to a Microsoft 365 cloud-hosted Sharepoint site?

Depending on what type of M365 licenses you have your organization might have access to leverage FastTrack which is a free service from Microsoft to help with deployment and migrations, here is link to sign in and as you submit a request the application will determine eligibility. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/fasttrack

Looking at driver update profiles in Intune, how can we determine which hardware components they actually apply to? The driver list has many names like "Surface - Firmware - 10.102.139.0", "Surface - Firmware - 160.37.13.57", or "Intel - SoftwareComponent - 2338.6.1.0" without any information about which Surface model or component they would apply to, or which piece of hardware is actually affected. This makes it difficult to know what should be approved, or which updates should be paused if we run into issues.
- HeyHey16KSteel Contributor
Are you able to give us a ballpark idea when the app approval process in Intune/Company Portal will be available please? 🙏

There are no specific plans or timelines to share for type of functionality today. Some additional core functionality is planned for the near future that may ultimately enable this, but until that's released there's really nothing more to add. We are always happy to take feedback on desired functionality and what your requirements are though.

Thank you Jason 🙂

Does Microsoft have steps for customizing the Windows 11 Start Menu and taskbar? I understand it works differently with a .bin file so it seems that detailed Window 10 customization doc doesn't apply any longer.

Documentation is here, Customize the Windows 11 Start menu | Microsoft Learn, but you may not be able to do everything you were doing in Windows 10 due to changes in Windows 11.

Hey guys,
We recently in-place upgraded about 1,000 Intune-managed HAADJ computers from W10 to W11 23H2. We do not configure a specific desktop background image, just leave it to the default OS picture, but an Intune policy prevents users from changing it. All computers were built originally via the same Autopilot sequence and are under the same policies etc.
On about 170 of the upgrades so far, the default OS background image was missing post-upgrade, leaving a blank black background.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows why the background image is missing please?
Thank you- Phil_Urban

There is a known issue related wallpaper applications and Windows 11 24H2 (see Windows 11, version 24H2 known issues and notifications | Microsoft Learn). There may be some related underlying components that are causing the issue you are seeing.
