Advanced Message Encryption
13 TopicsSensitivity Labels & External Sharing
Can anyone help, please? We've rolled out sensitivity labels for emails and we're experiencing an issue with external recipients accessing downloaded attachments. In particular, when an encrypted email is sent externally (using a label which allows external access and giving Owner rights on the file), recipients can view the email body and open attachments but as soon as they download the attachment the downloaded file converts into an .xml file. We don't have this issue with PDF files.Solved580Views0likes8CommentsPL-200 Exam Success Story

My email was working fine, and then suddenly 5 minutes later this error started showing up when I tried sending another email: Please help!! I am also the admin of the group, but I don't know how to fix this as I am obviously not spam, and no one has blocked me. Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: This message couldn't be delivered because the sending email address was not recognized as a valid sender. The most common reason for this error is that the email address is, or was, suspected of sending spam. Contact the organization's email admin for help and give them this error message.847Views0likes0CommentsNew blog post | Sensitivity labels on all e-mail messages, user encryption and protection
Many organizations would like to apply encryption to all e-mail messages since it improves the information security posture. Is encrypting all messages the right way to go? E-mail encryption is described as the process by which information is encoded so that only an authorized recipient can decode and consume the information. On top of this Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MIP) also provides effective protection after the content has been decrypted and opened. MIP provides both encryption and protection. For more information please read this document, we are only discussing Microsoft Purview Message Encryption in this blog post. Hi all if I change the expiry period for a sensitivity label does this apply to documents that the label has already been applied to? If I applied the label yesterday but change the expiry date today which expiry date will apply to the document that had the label applied yesterday?Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentSetting up DLP to auto encrypt emails that contains usernames/passwords
Hi I'm just wondering if I'm doing this right, testing how everything works as I'm currently trying to learn more about DLP and Sensitivity labels. I wanted to see if I can catch usernames and password sharing in emails only, and if it contains a username or password auto encrypt the email and send me an Alert. First I created a DLP policy that applies to Exchange email. For the Rules I did the following. Content contains any of these sensitivity info types: (Pre made Microsoft) Azure AD User Credentials User Login Credentials General Password Actions Encrypt message Send alerts to Administrators. After testing a couple of emails I found that it misses a lot of emails when I just type for example Username: user @ domain.com pass: asdjfhwsd78f So I created a new sensitivity info type based on keywords, Password, Username, Pwd, Credentials This will catch at least my test emails due to they contain the words, password, username etc. But why is not Microsoft pre-made sensitive info types NOT catching this? And is there a better way of doing this? This is just me testing in my Dev tenant to learn more.Solved3.3KViews0likes2Comments"Tag all items in list" should not be the default tagging option in Advanced eDiscovery
If you select a single file, then go to apply a tag, but FORGET to change the filter from "Tag all items" to "Tag selected items" you will have to wait minutes if not hours for the entire set to be tagged, which, if you're applying a tag that you previously used in the review set, will overwrite all of the tagging you previously did. Please change this. When I select a single file in a review set, the default should be "Tag selected items."1.3KViews0likes0Comments
