Microsoft Removes Reactivation Fee for Archived SharePoint Sites
Microsoft 365 Archive will no longer charge fees to reactivate archived SharePoint Online sites after March 31, 2025. The good news might encourage higher use of Microsoft 365 Archive to store old but wanted material in a safe location while removing it from the view of apps like Microsoft 365 Copilot. In-Place Archive not appearing in Apple iPad
Iam currently using 3 Apple Devices (MacBook, Iphone16 and iPad) with O365 E3 License. I have configured O365 Desktop Client app on all 3 devices. After configuration, In-Place archive is showing on MacBook, iPhone 16 perfectly but on iPad its not showing. I tried to reinstall the app, upgraded iPad with latest version but still no luck. I tried it on another iPad as well but In Place archive not appearing on other iPad as well. Please suggest.
How to migrate mailbox with over 500 GB - Migration from GWS to M365
Hello, I am trying to migrate GWS mailboxes with over 500 GB to M365 utilizing third-party tool. I have around 50 mailboxes over 200 GB and 10 mailboxes over 500 GB. With third-party tool, I can migrate Gmail to archive mailbox of M365. and I am aware of the fact that it needs auto-expanding feature of archive mailbox. So I have enabled auto-expanding feature for those archive mailbox. However, the thing is the daily growth rate and It cannot exceed 1GB/day as I noticed through below link. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/enable-autoexpanding-archiving#more-information The link says like this. Auto-expanding archiving is supported only for mailboxes used by individual users or for shared mailboxes with a growth rate that doesn't exceed 1 GB per day. Is there any way to speed up the growth rate? After you turn on auto-expanding archiving, an archive mailbox is converted to an auto-expanding archive when the archive mailbox (including the Recoverable Items folder) reaches 90 GB. It can take up to 30 days for the additional storage space to be provisioned. Is there any way to shorten the days for the additional storage space to be provisioned? How can I overcome this circumstances? or is there an other method to do this? Thank you in advance.
Prevent users from signing into Microsoft 365 accounts that aren't a part of our tenant.
Many of our users have a Microsoft 365 account with the company that we do business with. The account is used to access a catalog but they are not licensed. This has caused problems when users sign into their Office applications with the wrong account and they can't figure out why their applications don't have full functionality. I would like to find a way to prevent our users from signing into Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, etc.) with their other account. We are using Entra AD and Intune.
Retention Policy to Archive Deleted Items
I need to setup a Retention Policy to move all Deleted items to Online Archive that are at least 1 year old... and all Sent Items to Archive that are at least 2 years old. I am choosing the option "Automatically to default folder" and then the appropriate folder. But... There is no Archive Retention Action - just "Delete and allow recovery" and "Permanently delete." How might I accomplish the above without the user having to apply a policy on their own?move emails to archive and prevent deletion
Hi there. We have some users who need to keep all their emails for compliance purposes so they have been put on hold. Unfortunately, their mailboxes are nearly full. So we want to move some emails to the archive to free up space in the primary mailbox but without deleting any email, i.e. have online archiving and litigation hold at the same time. Unfortunately, this is not possible. So, if anyone reading has faced the same issue, how have you tackled it?Best practices/methods for archiving terminated user OneDrive for Business data?
I understand using Litigation Hold and Retention Policy for archiving and holding terminated employee Exchange Online mailbox data, but is there a similar method for archiving and keeping their OneDrive data in a secure location that doesn't take up a full M365 license to hold it in case we have a requirement to bring it back for regulatory compliance purposes?
