Hi, Following the documentation, Configure desk booking - Microsoft Places | Microsoft Learn, I successfully ran the shared command lines without any errors. However, on Microsoft Places, I am unable to see individual desks appear; only desk pools are visible. Has anyone managed to get this to work? Thanks,221Views2likes8CommentsDefault Appointment length in Outlook Calendar
Hi all, In Outlook 365, the default meeting length is set to the same time than the "View Timescale" (Current View - View Settings - Other Settings). When the "View Timescale" is set to 30 min for example, then the"Default duration for new appointments and meetings" setting in File - Options - Calendar - Calendar Options is ignored (also when the "Shorten appointments and meetings" is ticked and set to any amount of time). I would like to have the "View Timescale" set to 30 min and the "Default Meeting Duration" at 1 hour. Does anyone know if that is possible or is this a bug? Thanks in advance for the help.4.1KViews1like3CommentsNewly created Rooms aren't showing up for booking
Hello, We have a few other active meeting rooms, that weren't created by me. That work. I've created another one, based on all the settings from the working rooms. But regardless of what I try, they aren't showing up for booking. Microsoft Support suggested checking the GAL, which wasn't the case, and have now stopped responding to the case. I can see the room listed with the others both within the Office 365 and the Exchange admin modules. It's also showing up in the Outlook client with the other rooms in the People > Directory > All Rooms list. I'm at a loss on what to try now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Solved1.1KViews0likes4CommentsHow do I book a meeting room for an invite that has been sent to me
We use room resource calendars for our room bookings. Usually we just add the meeting room into the location field or even as a participant and it books the room. When we get meeting invitations from external parties not in our organisation (e.g. suppliers) that will visit us, we'd like to book a meeting room for that visit. How do we do this? The only way we can currently do this is by creating our own duplicate calendar entry for the meeting and choose that room as the location, but we'd like to find a more integrated way, rather than having two separate unlinked calendar entries. With separate calendar entries, if the external meeting initiator changes meeting time, we have to manually change our own related calendar entry which we forget to do resulting in room being booked for wrong time. Any solutions or suggestions to help with this problem?66KViews4likes26CommentsCategories in Group Calendars
Hi all We use group/team site calendars heavily within our organisation and departments. Up until recently, users have been able to tag/categorise calendar entries within group calendars that they are a member of. In addition, each calendar could have its own set of tags. I.e. "Accounts Department" calendar could have tags set for Meeting, Payment Due, Contract End etc, and "Sales Department" could have tags on their calendar for Client Call-back, Sales Visit, Training etc. This has all been done via Outlook Online (Tags still seem to work fine from Outlook 2016 / Outlook for Mac) so I assume this is an update issue. However, this all disappeared over the past few days. If a user now goes into and existing entry in a shared calendar, the existing tag shows but there is no options to change it or remove it. If creating a new entry, the option just isn't there at all. It is only visible on user's personal calendars! Is anyone else experiencing this, or have any suggestions of a work around? Many thanks! Hi there, I'm sending emails with ICS attachments. And facing problems like: Outlook does replace my DESCRIPTION/X-ALT-DESC by the email content automaticaly. So Outlook does create Calendar event automaticaly based on .ICS attachment BUT REPLACE/OVERRIDE the DESCRIPTION. Expected behaviour: Show original DESCRIPTION/X-ALT-DESC from .ICS attachment. When automatic Calendar event created. Current behaviour: Override .ICS DESCRIPTION/X-ALT-DESC by shortened unformatted email body. Questions: 1 - Is there a way to do what is expected by adding some X-MICROSOFT** flags to the .ICS? 2 - Is there a way to do what is expected by Outlook/Calendar client config? Note: I've already tried to specify X-ALT-DESC instead/together with DESCRIPTION ICS file is valid and being consumed well by othe Calendar client (google e.t.c). No overrides.206Views1like1CommentRemove terminated users from recurring meeting invite
Hi All, Is there any way to remove the terminated user from the existing recurring meeting invites? We have few users who left the organization but still appear in some recurring meetings. Their accounts and mailboxes were deleted long back but still their names showing in the meeting invite. I know that meeting owner can update the invite but I wanted to know from Admin side, is there any way to do it without asking user to do it?2.9KViews0likes3CommentsManager's team calendar - hierarchy permissions to see details from top-down
Hi, I have a question about Manager's team calendar and how it's supposed to work. The manager would like to see all the details of the calendar events of who report to him, but currently by default the manager can only see "free/busy". Idea is to make the org hierarchy work by equal level people not see each other's details, only free/busy, which works right now, but the higher level manager should see everyone's details under him. Hierarchy is already set-up correctly. Is that possible? If yes, how?268Views0likes0Comments
