Speed up meeting joins - Application Initialization Module for IIS 7.5
lacking a test environment, I'm curious if anybody has used the Application Initialization Module for IIS on SFB to preload all the apps? Our first joins of the day take quite some time, and this might help. https://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/application-initialization I was also told at Ignite that I could increase the settings on the IIS pool so it doesn't garbage collect it so fast. Has anyone else run into longer join times on initial meetings? If so, how did you solve it?
Join Skype for Business Meeting delay
Hi everyone, I wonder if someone could help me. We‘re using Skype for business OnPrem 2019 and some of our customers complaining about joining meetings. Sometimes it takes several minutes to let you join a meeting. Have you ever experienced something like this delays? We can’t really see anything on the Skype for business server. Could it be related to the hardware itself for example drivers? Thanks in advance.Sorry, I can't find a meeting with that number
Hi, How I can start troubleshoting this issue? When an organizer sends the skype meeting invitation and users try to join after inserting the conference ID provide on the email notification they receive this message "Sorry, I can't find a meeting with that number" As work around the organizer have to re-send the meeting invitation but changing the meeting options to have a new conference id for each meeting. So , basically using the static conference ID is making the users unable to join. Regards.
Skype for bussiness settings not saved in VDI
Hello In my organiztion working with VDI workstations , the settings in the Skype is not saved I tired to save the registry value in this location : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync And folder in this location : AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync AppData\Roaming\Skype\RootTools AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync But is doesn't work , i have also the "Dynamic Environment Manager" but i dont know where is the Setting location saved , the most importent is the Volume that change every logout and login to station Can someone can help my with that , Thanks in advanceChat for websites

The point is in a universal chat that is automatically embedded in any site and allows you to exchange information both between people and between sites. Schedule a webinar using Skype for Business 2016
Hello, Here is the scenario, We are trying to schedule a webinar using Skype for Business 2016. Well, I know using "Meet Now" we are able to create a link and send it to registered participant via email to join the conference room, or webinar. However we need a reserved link that do not change and let them know that link beforehand. How' that possible? ThanksSkype web app and MSI on restricted machines
I opened a case with Office 365 support, but they really couldn't understand my issue. We're moving from GotoMeeting to Skype for our phone and web conferencing. However, we have run in to issues with our clients being unable to "install" the MSI for the Skype web app on their machine because they're not admins and some don't have access to install ANY applications, even under their own user profile. So we're stuck going back to GotoMeeting for those folks. Would really like to see everyone on Skype for Business (E5), but this is a real roadblock for us. Any other ways around? Users can't install the MSI or the full Skype clients on their machine. GotoMeeting doesn't require an actual install, so that runs for them. Wondering if there are plans to offer some kind of click to run, etc. or some other solution.Missed Presentation Notification
Are these notifications new? And under what conditions do we expect to see them? I have personally never seen this, but someone asked me about them, and when should we expect them. Microsoft just released Teams PSTN Conferencing service right before Microsoft Ignite. First of all, ensure that you assigned PSTN conferencing license(s) to user(s) Login to Teams Meetings > Schedule a Meeting 4. Setup a new meeting, add attendees as follow. For now, you cannot invite external users as attendees in Teams yet like you can in SFB Meeting Invite, I believe you can do that in soon future. So, if you need to invite external users, just copy the invite message and email them. Attendees received meeting invitation email as follow, Meetings > click on meeting invite and Join button. I invited two users, one user is my internal user who received the invite email, I manually copy the invitation email and send to the other user, who will join the meeting using his mobile/phone; both joined the meeting, you will see a user is using his mobile number to join and while my internal users use teams client to join. The external user called +6531570124 (Toll) number to join the PSTN conferencing. It's surprising to take note that I cannot join Teams meeting using my SFB client though I can see the invite in my SFB client's meeting calendar, when I click the meeting link, it brings me to either use web browser or use Teams client. It’s also noted that I cannot invite external users and dial telephone number -- yet.
