Edge Beta - randomly crashing
I have installed Beta version : Version 77.0.235.9 (Official build) beta (64-bit) Windows : 10.0.17134 Build 17134 (Windows 10 Enterprise - x64) When I have installed the Beta version, I had Dev version installed as well. What I have noticed is, whenever I lock my computer for a while and when I come back, unlock my computer, Edge Beta is missing from taskbar. When I start Edge Beta again, it asks me to restore my session. 1 - I have tried disabling the extensions installed from Google Chrome Webstore : same issue 2 - I uninstalled Edge Dev version : same issue 3 - Checked Application Logs under Event Viewer and found few entries there but I am not able to make any sense of it. There are 3 sources of error reporting edgeupdatem edgeupate Windows Error Reporting ( If required, I can take screenshot and submit, can't provide the log due to security reasons. ) I checked Apps section under settings and found Microsoft Edge Update - 1.3.107.15 I need help to understand what is causing the crashes to get it fixed by Edge team.
Reproducible crash adding Edge Apps - happens 100% of the time
OS: Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G3020) Edge: Version 79.0.309.71 (Official build) (64-bit) Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to any website 2. Click the · · · button > Apps > Install this site as an app What I expect to happen: Edge creates the app and continues functioning. And the new App also functions. What happens: 1. Edge drops the app with its correct icon into my Edge Apps folder and opens it so it appears in my Dock. The new App shows a dot indicating that it's open. 2. Edge goes to permanent beachball until force quit 3. The new App is clickable and can be activated, but has no windows, just a menu bar with all options unselectable other than Quit. The App can be opened and quit but doesn't ever get any windows or do anything (regardless of whether Edge is open, hung, or not running). 4. After Edge is killed I was offered a stacktrace by the OS (attached in case it may be useful) Tried this with the Outlook webapp on my corporate office 365 account and also with a random personal site. Here's what's going on: When I start Microsoft Edge Dev normally, through a shortcut on Linux, the browser opens fine, and will usually crash ~10 minutes later, or sometimes a few minutes later. Before the most recent update to edge i could play netflix and fast forward whenever i want but now with the new update public edge version 116.0.1938.62 i can't even fast forward it without the browser crashing constantly and it's only netflix i've been using the does it. Youtube runs fine all night but once i watch something on netflix and i want to fast forward or rewind the tv show or movie it crashes the browserunable to print PDF from edge 104.0.1293.70
Hi we are having an issue with the latest version of edge where it closes down when printing on spurious pcs. these have been re-built to the last version of windows, all edge addins have been removed, no information is given in the edge://crashes tab, the event logs show an application error in winspool.drv version 10.0.19041.1865
