Cell Validation - Drop Down Lists and Text Formatting
Hi, I have a form in Excel that has a couple of drop down list options. I have my lists saved on a separate tab and i would like the options within one of the lists to repeat the specific text/cell formatting i have in place (each option has a different colour of text and cell fill applied, with mixed font sizes within the same cell). Is there a away o can do this without also adding conditional formatting to the cell that contains the drop down? CF doesn't quite give the result i am looking for as it doesn't mirror the mixed font sizing i have in place for the actual list. Would appreciate any help you can offer with this. Thank you J
Multiple Selections Drop Down List (used a VBA code) & CountIfs
I used a VBA code to allow me to select multiple items from a drop-down list in a particular column. I have two other columns with other drop-down lists but not allowing for multiple selections. I'm using COUNTIFS to count for certain parameters among the three columns in 3 x 2 columns for each parameter. When I use COUNTIFS, excel doesn't count the parameters in the multiple selection drop-down list. It'll count only if I select one item but once I select more than one, it doesn't count any of the parameters. How can I get excel to count what I want it to count? Thanks.
Drop down list data validation
Thanks for your assistance. I have created some new worksheets with the drop down list target choices and set up the drop down lists on the main worksheet. However, my drop down list choices are decrementing with each line I go down on the main worksheet. If, say, I have 20 choices in one of my drop down worksheets, by the time I get to a cell in the column on the main worksheet containing the link to that list, if I'm on line 21, there are no options displayed in the drop down for that cell. When I take a look at the data validation, I can see that the main worksheet is not referring to the 20 drop down list options as a set feature, but moves down a line in the target worksheet each time I go down a line on the main worksheet. I hope I have explained that clearly. I seem to missing making some correct setting in my data validation, but I can't pick what it is that I'm overlooking.
SharePoint Drop Down List Other Option
Hi We have a Sharepoint List and have a field set to "Choice" In option we have the 3 drop down options with the last one being "other" We have Allow 'Fill-in' choices tick to YES We basically want people to be able to being a list of the top 3 most common options but if they need they can type in a answer. This works, however during testing we noticed that when we put in a manual entry for the "other" it saves it and then next time we add another new list the previously added "other" option is added to the drop down this. eg original drop down option 1 2 3 other Create a new item in the list and during the creation of the entry on the drop down list manually add a entry of 4 When you create another new item you dropdown will now give the following option 1 2 3 4 ** other So 4 was added because there is a item in the list with the number 4 in Is there a way to stop this happening, so the drop down list is always kept to 1 2 3 other But also allow us to manually add a entry?Drop Down List - Linking Corresponding Data in Separate Columns Based on Drop Down Selection
Hey there! I'm looking for a clear cut way to do something which seems like it should be simple. I have two columns that I want to correspond with one another. What I'm looking to do is when someone selects an option "Status" from the drop-down list in Column D the adjacent cell in column E populates with a corresponding percentage value. Ex. --> Cell 'D6' / "Sales Status" Drop Down Selection = Verbal Commitment ::: Needing Cell 'E6' to auto-populate once selected with the corresponding percentage "100%" I've built a drop down list for each column in a data worksheet. Am I doing this correctly? I've attached a screenshot of the columns I need populated as well as my lists in case that helps. Thanks!
