Fundraising & Engagement
42 TopicsWill Microsoft’s Fundraising Template App Be Supported Long-Term?
Since Microsoft retired the Fundraising and Engagement app, they’ve introduced template apps for partners and customers to build solutions. Over the past year, we did lot of customizations on top of the Fundraising and Engagement app, and we’re now considering moving these customizations and needed functionality to the ‘Fundraising’ template app. However, we’re concerned about long-term stability. Can Microsoft confirm if there’s any risk of these templates being retired or delisted? This would help us and others plan with greater confidence.143Views3likes3CommentsFundraising and Engagement without Costumer Insights?
We are a nonprofit considering Fundraising and engagement which by itself looks great. However, we are yet a small nonprofit, so we don’t have the financial means to invest in Dynamics 365 Costumer Insights at this point. We find Costumer Insights to be very expensive compared to other Microsoft nonprofit offers. Is F&E still valuable if we combine it with Mailchimp? - How do we communicate campaigns and get results? In two separate systems? - Does Mailchimp engagement journeys work together with F&E or would we maintain two separate systems? What about the leadscoring and “Likelihood to donate" in F&E? How does these perform when we don’t use Costumer Insights engagement journeys, website engagement and more? We assume the data collections lowers and thus making the leadscoring worse. Hope someone has relevant experiences to share.721Views2likes4CommentsNew partner blog - Four benefits of Fundraising and Engagement

Hi, Bit of a niche question and probably only relates to non-profit customers who subscribed to this prior to September 2019. I know that back in September 2019 it was announced that the non-profit donation of 50-seat Microsoft 365 Enterprise Mobility + Security E3 was being discontinued for new customers, but Microsoft said then that customers who had already procured these donated subscriptions could keep them in perpetuity as a legacy donation. A couple of our clients have received renewal invoices for this product but with the non-profit staff pricing rather than the donation pricing. Of customers who have had a renewal recently, only 2 have been charged with others still receiving the donation. These are all Direct Bill customers. I know that the Office365 E2 Grant is being discontinued from October renewals but have not seen anything similar for the EM+S E3 donation. Have I missed something? Has anyone else experienced similar? I have reached out with a service request but the suggested explanation was way off the mark, saying that it was due to changing from monthly to annual billing, which wasn't the case, as shown by the previous year's zero annual invoice. Appreciate your input. Thanks, Colin6.9KViews2likes14CommentsDonation Import table's Organization Name requirement in Fundraising & Engagement
We're trying to leverage the Donation Import table to send data from our third-party service (Soapbox Engage) into Fundraising and Engagement for donors that are making personal donations (i.e. not on behalf of an organization and without a company associated with them). It seems that the msnfp_organizationname field on the Donation Import table is required, and is stopping the processing of the Donation Import record due to the field being null for these very common donations. Is this expected behavior? What should one put into the msnfp_organizationname field if no organization is associated with the donation? We swear that this wasn't the case just a few releases ago, maybe this is a recent change?769Views2likes1CommentHow are other folks handling direct mail lists, specifically deduping households and salutations?
I'm curious how other F&E customers approach generating direct mail lists. Some of the issues at play: Multiple household members > 1 piece of mail If we build a report or marketing list around Contacts, each household member will appear as a row in the list and will need to be deduped at some point to ensure the same family doesn't receive multiple mailings. If we build a report around Accounts, that will only include Contacts with a household account specified. Is anyone taking the NPSP approach and auto-creating household Accounts for *every* contact, regardless of the number of household members? Or instead running multiple queries to build lists around Contacts without households, then Contacts with households? Or perhaps if Contacts have a related Household, only include them if they are marked as the "Primary Household Member" in the "Household Relationship" field? If creating Households for everyone, I assume also building automation to update address values in some capacity across records? Household greetings/salutation Who's using these? Did you build out significant automation to generate and update the fields? It seems... tricky to automate all the permutations (Contact record deleted or moved to another Household, how to manage order of the names, etc). But manual seems problematic as well... Have you taken a totally different approach to generating salutations?SolvedOne stop platform for social sector
