Microsoft Bookings Question
21 TopicsIs there a way to default Microsoft Bookings online meetings to include Teams meeting link?
I've recently been testing Microsoft Bookings as an alternative online client meeting booking system for our business (we currently use Calendly). In the current climate, we are opting to book online meetings over in person meetings with our clients, and are using Microsoft Teams as our online meeting system when we can. Unfortunately Calendly does not integrate with Teams, hence why I've been looking at Microsoft Bookings as an alternative. From my reading online, it looks like online meetings is a new feature being rolled out. That said, in my testing, the option to switch a "service" to an online meeting is available, and works by including a link to join the meeting via Skype for Business. However, in our business we don't use Skype - we use Teams. Is there a way to default online meetings booked through Bookings to include a Teams link instead of Skype? According to this article, "You can set up your services with an online meeting option. When you or a customer creates a new booking, or updates an existing booking, you have the option to make it an online appointment, using Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business." It's just not clear how to prioritise Teams over Skype. I also note in this same article under "Add online meetings to your bookings" it says "Note: This feature is still rolling out and might not be available in your organization yet. For more info, check out When do I get the newest features in for Microsoft 365?." - however, because I have the switch available and have been able to successfully set up test bookings to include Skype for business links, I'd assumed it's been rolled out in my organisation? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! ThanksSolved3.8KViews0likes3CommentsDaylight Saving Time in MS Bookings?
We have about 40 bookings calendars throughout our organization and all of them open the booking 3 days in advance. This upcoming Saturday evening is Daylight savings time and so Sunday has already opened for individuals to book appointments. Our earliest available appointment is 8:00 AM, however our customers are seeing 7:00 AM options this upcoming Sunday because bookings is not respecting the time change when it displays 11/1 reservation options. I'm not sure where to fix this or if this is a known bug. My searches haven't found anything and I'm wary to advise my team to alter the bookable hours for fear it would become an issue again AFTER the clocks have changed. Anybody got some insights?3.5KViews0likes1CommentAvailability on Microsoft bookings
Hello- I am working on a project for the SPA in a hospitality company. As a user we want to be able to schedule appointments through Microsoft bookings. We have a subscription and have the platform up and running. One of our biggest issues is availability when we go and schedule an appointment. We have our employees hours entered under their account. These are the available hours entered under the availability tab on the edit staff section. When a user schedules an appointment they get the following message that the masseuse who is scheduled is unavailable. I know that this is probably a settings issue but wasn't sure what needed to be changed to make it look like this. I have tried to change the hours a couple of times through different strategies and have not been able to get the desired outcome. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!Solved3.4KViews0likes3CommentsMicrosoft Bookings is auto-cancelling calendar appointments
I created a booking system for our organization using Microsoft Bookings and we've encountered a big problem. The system is - seemingly randomly - sending calendar cancellations to people who have booked sessions. This is causing huge confusion and makes the whole system unusable for us. It sometimes happens when a new person, eg Person B, signs up for a session. Person A, who had already signed up, gets a calendar cancellation. These sessions are designed for multiple participants. Please help. We'll have to ditch the whole system if we can't resolve this. It's very frustrating. Thanks!2.8KViews1like6CommentsMicrosoft Bookings - How to see client information in Outlook calendar
Hi, I'm experiencing the following issue: - when a client book a slot, an event is created on my Outlook calendar, but I am not able to see the information regarding the client in that event. There is a note saying "This is a multi-client booking" and that I have to enter Bookings to see the client's informations. - I have tried to reduce the numer of participants allowed in that specific service, but it won't go lower than "2". Even with this reduction, I cannot still see the client information in Calendar Can someone tell me how to make the information visibile in Calendar? It is very unconvenient to enter Bookings just to see who is the client that booked that specific spot.. Thank you very much Leonardo1.7KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Bookings - Role Problem
I have created multiple Bookings calendars for different areas. I cloned one I was an admin on, but the new on apparently had me as "Team Member" instead of Admin. I am not able to edit my role or add any additional staff. I realized this after appointments were set, so creating a new calendar for this is not an option. Can anyone help me change my role from1.4KViews0likes3CommentsMicrosoft Bookings - Printed Agenda does not show more than one customers information on a time slot
Hi, We have decided to use Microsoft Bookings for visitation purposes now that COVID restrictions have relaxed but still have a controlled environment. So we only allowed two visitors onsite at all times so I created a service with a time limit of 30 minutes and the maximum attendees is set for 2 so that when the two seats have been taken, the time slot disappears from the published booking page. However, when I come to print the agenda off for the day & select Print Detailed Agenda and choose the Day option for the front desk admins to manage the individuals due for the day, if two seats booked the same time slot, For instance John Doe and Annebell Fakeham, the Print Detailed Agenda only shows John Does information and not Annebell Fakehams information? Additionally, I thought if we saved and printed off the TSV file it would be a workaround however the TSV file does not update regularly, I believe its every 24 hours and the TSV file does not contain any custom fields I created which goes with the booking form & its needed for our confirmation & security purposes. Also, how do I delete a Calendar from Microsoft Bookings? I followed the link Microsoft provided ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-a-booking-calendar-8c3a913c-2247-4519-894d-b6263eeb9920 ) however that shows you how to delete the user, not the calendar itself. I've also tried the Power-shell guide, but that does not work. Anyone have any idea how to get around these issues? Thanks Nath1.3KViews0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Bookings for bay rental
TLDR: Digitally challenged artists' studio wants to use MS Bookings for weekly workshop bay rental - best approach?? I work in an artists' studio where artists can rent workshop bays on a weekly basis for a set fee (1 week = 7 days). We currently do not use any digital/online system (requests are received by email and a physical wall calendar is updated) and I am researching Microsoft Bookings as a solution. Ideally we would like to see what is going on in the workshop at a glance per month. Also, it would be great if this 'at a glance' visual could be downloaded and printed out for those on my team who are technophobes. There are 7 workshop bays and 1 workshop manager who oversees the space and equipment. I have considered creating one Bookings calendar for the workshop and dividing up the bays into services, however I now see that in order to colour code the different services they need to be assigned to a different staff member. Should I create separate calendars for each bay instead? Any other thoughts on how I should approach this?1.3KViews0likes1Comment
