My Day
9 TopicsAutomatically "skip to current task" (as a recurrence property)
TL;DR Recurring tasks should have a property where user can ask to automatically "skip to current task" instead of doing it manually, and it should be the default behavior. Explaination I have a few recurring tasks on my to-do list, such as: Check for errors in my application DB every morning. Take medicine daily. Review Jira tasks every 3 weeks. It's evident that if I miss checking errors over the weekend or forget to take my daily medicine, I won't perform these tasks multiple times on the same day. Similarly, if I miss the 3-week mark for reviewing Jira tasks, I won't do it twice in one day. Today, and on several occasions before, I opened the "My Day" list only to find it empty. This didn't make sense because I knew I needed to take my medicine. I went to the "Suggestions" pane and manually clicked "Skip to current task" for each recurring task. It was then that I noticed the task of "checking DB" was also missing from the "My Day" list, and I skipped it as well. There are two issues here: Why do I have to notice that something is missing from my day? Isn't that what the app is for? Why should I remember which tasks require me to press the skip button and which ones don't? My suggestion is that any recurring task should have a property allowing the user to choose whether missing an occurrence should be automatically skipped or not. Moreover, I cannot think of any example where I wouldn't want it to skip automatically (but I assume there are some), so my suggestion is that, by default, this option should be checked.1.3KViews6likes4CommentsIntroducing the all-new 'My Day' view in 'Tasks by Planner and To Do' App for Microsoft Teams!

Hi, I'm having a weird issue currently and I believe it's not a "sync" issue. I have a personal and a business account logged in my iOS app. I also have each of these in the desktop app which allows me to quickly verify sync. In my personal account, everything works great. In my business account, whenever I add a task under "My Day" or "Important", it does not get synced upstream. It shows in my mobile for some time and then disappears and it never pup in my desktop. If instead, I add the task under some actual list (like default Tasks), it does get synced. Also, if I add under "my day" and then edit it to assign to "Tasks" list too (for example), it gets synced as soon as added. Any tasks added via desktop app work well and they are picked up by the mobile app. One thing I noticed that happens in the desktop app is that when I create a task under Important or My Day, they get assigned the default list "Tasks". When I create them in the mobile they don't get assigned any list by default. And when I force the list, it works. So it seems the issue is that those tasks are not getting the default list. Also, on the iOS using my personal account, this does NOT happen. If I create a task under Important, it DOES get "Tasks" list assigned to it (and properly syncs up). I've been looking at app settings trying to understand if there's a "default list" setting but I could not find any. Thanks9Views0likes0CommentsTo Do's My Day in graph API
It would be great to have access to the My Day list in Microsoft To Do though the Graph API. This will allow integration with other services. For example, I would like to integrate it with dakboard such that I will be able to see with a single glimpse the current time, the current tasks I should be working on, and my schedule.1.7KViews2likes2CommentsSelf define My Day ending time 可以自定义「我的一天」结束时间
Normally the tasks in My Day is clean up after 24:00 everyday. But i usually sleep at 2:00 AM, I'm keep working to 2:00 AM but the tasks in My Day was disappear, i need re-add it to My Day manually. I think could to self define what time is my day ending. Please forgive my poor English, there is a Chinese version 「我的一天」里的任务在每天 24:00 会清空,未完成的任务会变成历史任务。但是我每天可能都会工作到凌晨 2:00,我希望我的一天是在 2:00 结束。 需要一个可以让用户自定义每天的结束时间,默认还是 24:00 但是用户可以自定义715Views3likes1Comment"My Day" not a standalone tasklist?
I am trying to use the Microsoft Graph API to integrate Microsoft ToDo in my app. I want to get the tasks that are shown in the "My Day" folder. The problem is that with "GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/todo/lists" I only get the "Tasks" folder and all the task lists that I created. The "Important" Folder also doesn't show up in the response. I specifically want to access the "My Day" folder but havent found out how. Is it possible to do so, or does the "My Day" folder not count as a standalone task list? Even if its not a task list, shouldn't it be possible to still access all the tasks that have the tag "Added to My Day"? Any help is greatly appreciated.719Views0likes1CommentTask colors from Task List not persisting to My Day
Each Task List can have a theme, which changes the colors of the Tasks for that list. For example I have my personal lists set to blue and my work lists set to red. Before I updated to 2.77 today (or at least very recently), these colors would persist to My Day. This would allow me to easily see the general type of a Task according to the color of the Task completion circle. This is no longer happening, in My Day all tasks are blue. All the Task Lists themes are still correct.1.9KViews2likes1Comment
