P4W

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a list of what fields get imported into Project for the Web(P4W) when importing an MPP file. I've seen the list of what does not get imported in, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. There are obvious ones like notes, name, finish etc, but are there any fields in Project desktop I can fill in that will map to either Buckets or Labels in P4W? I know it's a stretch, but if it's possible to import into a custom text column that would be amazing (but I'm not holding my breathe.) Essentially currently we have excel sheets with 300+ tasks each that have been exported from another system. These tasks need to be input into P4W, inclusive of outline level/correct summary task order and notes - I have resolved this by importing the Excel file into Project Desktop to keep the correct formatting, and then using the 'import project as plan' function to put the MPP into P4W. It would be great if in this import process I could also have either buckets or Labels(or both!) mapped, as they currently have to be manually added a once the import is complete. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Solved572Views0likes3CommentsCopy Project Columns and Copy Project Task Columns views not copying custom columns in P4W
I am using Microsoft project for the web as project management solution for my customer. I am trying to automate project operations by creating template from existing projects in project for the web as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/project-operations/project-management/dev-copy-project. However it is not copying values in custom columns created in project and project task entity in dataverse. I have added these columns in Copy Project Columns and Copy Project Task Columns views but still not working. Need help!680Views0likes3CommentsHow to delete/remove Team Member from a Project in Project for the Web?
Hello, We're using the Project for the Web accelerator Power App. A bookable resource can be added directly to a Project via the Project's Resources tab or if they're assigned to a Task. When they are added to a Project, they will show up under the Resources tab as a "Team Member" (in the "Project Team Members"/"msdyn_projectteam" table). However, when I try to Delete them from the Project's Resource tab, I get the following error: If I delete all of their Tasks or unassign them from all Tasks, they still show as a Team Member under the Resources table and still cannot be deleted. How can we delete a Team Member from a Project within P4W? Thanks, Adil6.1KViews1like11CommentsLong Term Resource Planning for Project for the Web
Hope everyone is doing well this morning! I was wondering if anyone has had any success performing long term resource planning across multiple projects planned in P4W (Project for the Web), without using/having a Dynamics 365 license? I'm trying to advocate for using P4W within my organization and am a fan myself but the lack of ability to perform long term resource planning while using P4W (my organization does not have any plans to adopt Dynamic 365) is a major draw back, Without a viable solution to this, P4W will likely not be adopted widely in my organization. Any recommendations or solutions that others have identified and implemented are greatly appreciated!850Views0likes2CommentsProject for the web: Incomplete notes after MPP import
Hello, when we import an exported project (MPP file) with notes on each task into Project for the web, the notes are incomplete. Note in Project Desktop: Test Note 1 Test Note 2 After importing into Project for the web: Test Note 1... Since we use notes in a relatively large number of projects, this is very annoying. Are you aware of this problem or do you have any suggestions for a solution?Solved1.2KViews0likes3Comments
