Please add "undo" feature to PDF inking
Add "undo" feature to PDF inking so that when we accidentally erase/remove something (inking, highlight etc) we be able to undo it, also would be useful to use the "undo" feature for when we add inking so instead of using eraser we just undo the action. the undo feature can either be tied to the usual CTRL + Z shortcut or a button on the PDF toolbar in Edge. (also sent using feedback button on Edge)12KViews18likes12CommentsAdd local pdfs to collections and have pdfs in splitview
As the title is mentioning it would be awesome to add local saved pdfs that are open in edge to a collection. In that way i could have collections for different subjects in university. The other suggestion i have would be to have two pdfs alongside eachother (like splitview in a racing game but here vertical) so i can compare them or have a look at the lecture and the tasks at the same time. For now i have to open them in different windows but this isn't always helpful when i have to do open file explorer or so on, because it is messing thngs around and i have to click on each windows to have it back in top.5KViews11likes2CommentsPDF text deformed
Deleted Sometimes like in this pic the text appears disfigured and when it is selected it appears fine. Here is this pic after o of or, I had selected text using mouse and then the text became clear. See the difference between left and right of o in or. Pass the feedback to appropriate team to fix it.Solved14KViews10likes21CommentsAdd table of contents / bookmarks / document outline in PDF viewer
I would like to see a feature in PDF reader. Currently there is no such option available in the PDF viewer in Edge Chromium. Such option was available in old Edge browser but the best example would be in Mozilla Firefox. See the picture attached. With long PDF documents, it is useful to browser around with the table of content visible on the left hand side all the time. It is kind of work that I do, I have to go through a lot of PDF documents and most of them are online and so opening directly in the browser is much quicker and easy. Because of this missing functionality in Edge Chromium, I have to use Mozilla Firefox for that particular website. Please consider adding this feature as soon as possible.18KViews9likes7CommentsPDF Viewer Internal Hyperlink Forward/Back buttons
Hi I read a lot science papers as PDFs in Edge. They are full of hyperlinks referring either to other parts of the paper, or to external resources. It is now possible to open an external link in a new tab (which was not possible in the old Edge), so that's great. However, beyond that, there is no ability go back from a followed internal hyperlink. E.g. I click on a link to a reference in the middle of a long paper, I get taken to the bibliography at the end of the same document, I now want to go back to where I was and I have to scroll back to find my place. Old Edge also didn't have this feature. Adobe's PDF Reader has separate back/forward buttons in addition to next/previous page buttons which allow one to follow the internal hyperlink history within the document. Something like this would be a great addition to the PDF reader. Maybe it would be enough to overload the browsers back/forward buttons here?11KViews8likes10CommentsEdge on Android isn't available for opening PDFs
Android 9 pie and latest version of Edge Android beta, in the file manager when I "Open with" on PDF file, Edge isn't available. I'd like the same features we have on desktop, Mac, Linux to be available on Android and IOS too. if you want the same, please send a feedback through Edge browser about this. thank you43KViews5likes24CommentsNew feature: 2 page view (book view) in Edge PDF
Although it's not like Edge legacy to have horizontal page scroll (at least not yet), it's nice to see it in Edge Version 88.0.702.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) and it is super smooth, no matter when I'm using single or two page view, the scrolling experience is nice, smooth and continues, helps with the focus too. you might have to enable this flag: edge://flags/#edge-pdf-two-page-view for reference, this is how the latest version of Edge legacy looked like:1.8KViews5likes2CommentsNew Feature: Read Aloud for PDF is now available in Edge canary

I just realized this cool feature. Inking and drawings done on a PDF file in the new (Chromium based) Edge can be erased in the legacy Edge, and vice versa. Highlighted texts in either of the browsers can also be modified And removed in the other browser. lastly, added sticky notes in Edge classic on a PDF file can also be seen on the new Edge. I had been using Edge Browser as my default PDF viewer for the past 3 years. After installing the new version of edge, I've got disappointed by it lacks many pdf features such as: Auto highlight option and color when blocking the text/phrases on pdf Ability to navigate through the bookmark And the ability to read pdf text using audio. The reason why I used Edge because it has higher stability than most of the other pdf readers. It scrolls smoothly and much simpler than most of the browsers. Now I'm using Foxit Reader which has a lot better features but lacks stability when scrolling through pages. I hope those missing features are coming to Edge as soon as possible because I'm tired of searching and using another pdf reader. Help me, developers, you're my only hope ðŸ˜7KViews4likes3Comments
