Permissions
15 TopicsSharePoint or Stream - Option that allows content to be downloaded by all company employees
Good afternoon to everyone. My name is Leonardo Fonseca and I currently work as an administrator in a company located in Brazil. We are trying to find permission to allow the download of all files from my company's employees. Where can we find this option or police? Thanks.Stream (mobile app) permissions do not match desktop settings
I recently shared a video link via email. When accessed from a desktop, the link directed users to the correct video version with the appropriate permission settings. However, when the same user accessed the link from their mobile devices, it directed them to an unedited, editable, and downloadable version despite the set settings. How can we prevent this from happening in the future?Stream Classic Containers and Permissions
We are in the early stages of planning to migrate videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint). One of the Groups we have has a total of 250+ videos. 75 videos are in the group container, while 175 videos are in different user containers. What is the best way to get all of those videos in the group container to have them migrate together? Any tips, insights, and ideas are appreciated!Post Migration Perisssions
I have encounter an issue post migration the permissions are not getting migrated. what I have read in the document that we need to stop inheriting the permissions and then only it will work properly. I have more than 1 lakh videos uploaded in stream classic. It would be a tedious task to do it manually. Will there be any configuration once the toll is available?Restrict Videos in a Companywide Channel
Hello, Perhaps my approach here is wrong so I will simply state what I am trying to do and the issues I am running into. Trying to create two channels which can be accessed by the whole company. One channel for HR and the other for IT. The purpose of this is to better curate videos for the company so they can be found easier. Particularly within the HR folder there is a strong need to restrict videos to a specific subset of users. For example, there is a need to have one video for support staff and a different video on the same topic for say managers. The issue: when I remove the "share to all permissions" on the video it also removed the ability to save the video to the channel I uploaded it to. This is not what I wanted. My Questions: 1. Am I correct in assuming that channels will not allow for mixed permissions for videos nested in them? If not how does one upload two different videos in the same channel with different view permissions? 2. How have others worked around this?1.1KViews0likes2CommentsThat video couldn't be found.
I have recorded meetings in Teams which I have downloaded and manually uploaded to Stream. The videos have processed successfully and been published - I can watch them back in full in Stream with all features (transcripts etc). However, when I click on the 'Share' feature and select 'Embed' I get a "That video couldn't be found." error. The same error appears when I embed these videos into a Sharepoint site and I try to watch them back. BUT - when other users access the same Sharepoint pages, they CAN watch the videos back. It seems like me (the owner of the videos and the Sharepoint pages) is the only person who gets the error. Any advice on why this might be happening?errors to change video viewing permissions
I recorded a Microsoft team meeting and it was published in stream, but when I want to limit the permissions for the users who can see the video and I give the apply button, it stays stuck and does not save the change, someone has had a similar experience and how did they solve it?Rolling out new Stream on SharePoint features for education

Hi everyone, It would be great if someone could provide solution to the below query. We are hosting several training sessions over MS teams where the session is being recorded so that the participants who were not able to join the live session can watch the recording later. But we are facing the issue that participants who didn't join the live session are not able to access the recordings and video owner has to give access to each person separately. Can you please suggest something to fix this issue or some workaround so that everyone who was invited in training session can access the recording regardless of if they had participated in the live session or not. Thanks,
