Pivot Table Default
3 TopicsHow to count multiple values in a cell
Hello, This is the first time I post! I need to do the following. I have a dataset and one of the fields is made up of cells that can have multiple values. For example the below. We have cells that contain zero, one or multiple names and I would need to count those names like in a pivot table. These names are separated by an "enter". In the example below I put the desired output. 2019 2018 Class 1 John Mary Mary Joseph Matthew Class 2 Theresa Anthony Matthew Margaret Class 3 John Theresa Theresa Margaret Desired output: Number of Classes Person 2019 2018 John 2 0 Theresa 2 1 Thanks in advance!Solved3.4KViews0likes7CommentsCannot set default Pivot Formatting
Hi, I am trying to set my default Pivot Table formatting as can be seen in the support article here: https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Set-PivotTable-default-layout-options-efd8569c-f07a-43c1-9db2-4f2912a0f94e I have the same issue as can be seen here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Excel/quot-Data-quot-not-an-option-under-excel-gt-file-gt-options/td-p/98447 Whereby I don't have 'Data' under the options. I have data set in the 'Customize Ribbon' and am running version 1710 build 8625.2127.2.1KViews0likes3CommentsNew Pivot Table default is forgotten
Hi I'm using the new 365 feature to set my default pivot style via File>Options>Data>Edit Default Layout. When I 'import' via a cell in a pivot table style I've created (my new colours!), the default holds true for that workbook, but the new default isn't available when I open another workbook - existing or new. I think the manual settings persist (e.g. Report Layout>Show in Tabular Form), but not the styling I've imported. So, it would seem that I need to recreate my preferred pivot style (i.e. colours) in each and every workbook? Thanks684Views0likes0Comments
