Microsoft Imposes 1-Year Retention for Teams Meeting Attendance Reports
Microsoft has enabled a one-year retention policy for Teams meeting attendance reports. Tenants can’t opt out of the policy or set a different retention period. Microsoft says that the new policy exists to make sure that Teams complies with the Microsoft privacy policy. Add a banner in Microsoft Teams
We are planning to implement a retention policy on Microsoft Teams that will automatically delete chats older than XX days. We would like to inform all Teams users about this change and are exploring options for doing so. Is it possible to add a banner within Microsoft Teams to notify all users? We would like the banner to display a message stating that starting January 1st, all chats will be deleted according to this new retention policy.
Teams Shared Channels - SharePoint Search Limitations
Good Day All, I am currently working on a project for migration content from File Server to SharePoint / Teams. We have decided to test Teams with shared channels for some of the data types and quickly realized that SharePoint search doesn't index the custom columns (metadata) added to shared channel sites and therefor they aren't added as crawled properties on SharePoint search schema which we then cannot add to RefinableStrings. I have compared a shared channel site vs traditional site where this is working and cannot seem to find differences in search configuration or any features. Is this a bug or by design?
