Hi, I would like to provide some custom functionallity to the default document library from the teams sites. But I can't configure the default 'Files Tab': If I use a SPFx extension is not rendered in this application You can't configure it using Teamsfx neither If you try to remove this tab using Graph, It's fordibben If you try to apply a TeamsFilePolicy through MicrosoftTeams, you can't apply the policy scope to just one group team, it applies to the tenant So, I don't really understand how I should handle this: The format view from JSON is limited. The customization of the form using only SP default behavior is limited. If I add one more Tab with the SharePoint Connector It renders as inside SharePoint and I'm able to use the SPFx extensions. But how can I remove the default 'Files tab' from some groups without removing it from all the group sites? I mean, it's a bit exaggerated to apply one tenant-level-policy just to be abe to render a Field customization extension, but there is any option at all? Thanks, Best regards368Views0likes0CommentsUnable to open files locally for M365 / SharePoint
I have a problem with opening documents from SharePoint with the function "Open in App". I can see the documents (Word files) and I can also see the option "Open in App" in SharePoint Online - but once I open it using "Open in app" then the local word installation starts (and shows the word splash logo screen) but then the document is not opened. Can anyone help me out with this problem?1.3KViews0likes1CommentSharePoint News Connector (MS Teams)
There is no way to configure the connector is this correct? (-> see Picture below, i cant do nothing) I can only activate the connector for one channel and it should automatically connect to the corresponding SPO with NewsWebPart. So I can't even configure multiple connectors in a team that pull information from different SPOnlines News WepParts?1.5KViews0likes0CommentsGuest User added team should not be allowed to search internal contact and start chatting with them?

We are rolling out Teams pretty slowly and right now we provide our users with the following functions: - Calls - Calendar The first step was the replacement of WebEx as video conference software. Now we want to take the next step and provide the users with Teams. But since we haven't established a rights management system yet, we have to disable the usage of SharePoint Online files usage. So what we want to provide is: - Calls - Calendar - Teams - OneNote - Planner I know that the OneNotes and Planner are located within SharePoint online or other online services. And I know that Teams don't work with any other data storage besides SharePoint Online. So is there any way to activate Teams with channels but don't use the files? OneDrive for Business is already disabled for all users. The only idea that comes to my mind is to revoke all Team members the rights for the underlying SharePoint site. Since we established a Power Automate process to create a new Team it would just be another step to do that programmatically. I know that it would be a far better user experience to provide all the amazing features of Teams. It's just the way it is.3.2KViews0likes2CommentsHow to Put Together a Work From Home Environment Using Office 365
What if you had 24 hours to prepare before your team or workforce was locked out of the office? What would you set up to ensure co-workers could continue working and stay engaged? REgarding 365 ran a virtual hackathon this month to illustrate how organizations can set up the essentials required to send an entire workforce home in the wake of Coronavirus. Hi all, My organization is at the beginning of developing our SP online-based intranet and we want to incorporate and use Teams as a primary way of driving projects and possibly creating long term Team sites for our departments. Before we go too far, we want to make sure that we have an appropriate architecture and possible "workflows" (not Workflow) to ensure that documents are available and record management is as easy as possible. We have identified multiple ways that we can see published pages making available major documents (perhaps an approved policies) developed by a group using a Team site. For instance, do you link from the published site to the teams doc? Do you migrate the final products or even libraries to an intermediate collaboration site? Do you move the products or even the libraries to the site with published pages? Does anyone know of a "best practices" to support Teams integrated SP search, metadata consistency, indexing, records management and such? I have read that Teams flattens the architecture and I see why. But I also see difficulties with each option. So any experience, suggestions or resources that are available would be helpful.5.7KViews1like1Comment
