SharePoint Calendar Delete Categories
Hi there, I set up a SharePoint calendar as an event list where the events can be filtered by categories. This works well but there are some of my test categories left which I do not need anymore but there are still displayed in the event list. I don't know how to delete them because in the settings there are already deleted and not displayed anymore. When I click on category in the settings there are just the categories I need. But when I want to filter for the categories there appear some of the test categories I already deleted in the settings.... Does anybody knows where the problem is? Thank you very much!
Problems after color coding calendar/list items when using overlays
I set up some calendars in sharepoint. I created views so i could color code items using overlays. When a new item is created the user chooses from a drop down list and the item is color coded accordingly. This works without issue. The problem i have is that when viewing the calendar in the default view that shows all items from every view, i can't edit or delete items. i have to click into the view the item was created for. Also, after i click into that view all items default back to blue. Is there a way to edit/delete these items from the default view, or is there a way to color code items differently in the same view?
SPOnline OOO Calendar & Workflow w/ SPDesigner
Hi, I was finally able to connect my SPOnline OOO/Leave Request calendar to SP Designer and I've run into a problem. This calendar and workflow was created before my time here, and I'm currently familiarizing myself with Designer. When a request is processed and approved, it shows up onto the calendar like this: https://imgur.com/6NQsvoy However, when I click on "IT Test" in the green box, I am redirected to: https://imgur.com/YwbfUFY Essentially, we want to see who was approved, the duration of approval, and a short description - much like the requester fills out when making the original request like this: https://imgur.com/c2OtKVP After messing around in SP Designer, I can't seem to find how to solve this problem. Does anybody know how to sync certain events in Outlook calendar (Not All Events) into SharePoint 2010 calendar? For example, I'm creating two events in Outlook calendar. I want to sync one of them into a SharePoint 2010 calendar when creating it. Any thoughts/solutions highly appreciated. Hi, when creating a new event on a SharePoint calendar from within Outlook, and alerts is set to on for all changes, I am getting alerts on events even though no one modified them. It seems like it is due to clicking "Dismiss" on the Outlook reminder. Has anyone else experienced this issue and come up with a resolution? Thanks.
