Hello Community, Ever wondered if we can appear Offline in Skype for Business? Well, then you are at the right place. To enable "Appear Offline" add the below registry (create it if not present) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync] "EnableAppearOffline"=dword:0000000165KViews1like3CommentsNetwork Assessment Tool Plus - Fedback?
Hey everyone, Recently I've been working on some PowerShell scripts and PowerBI files to transform the data you get from the Microsoft Network Assessment Tool to try and make it more useful (i.e. allowing date/time slicing, combining sites etc...). I've published the results on my blog and the files at TechNet Gallery and would love to know if it's useful to anyone. Any feedback welcome too about the script and the PowerBI dashboards... You can see more background info here: http://www.bibble-it.com/2017/09/05/network-assessment-tool-plus And the TechNet Gallery page here: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/lync/Network-Assessment-Tool-33485351 Let me know what you think?2.4KViews1like6CommentsSkype for Rooms not presenting to TV after system sleep
We have one of those LogiTech Skype for Rooms systems with the Surface Pro / Docking station. Ever since the upgrade from v2 to v3 of SRS the system fails to present meeting content to the TV. After a reboot the unit works fine. It shows the default splash screen on the TV and dashboard on the Logitech docking station/Surface Pro. I can start a video call or present from a laptop just fine. Fast forward - the unit is not being used for a while and goes to sleep. I come back 2 hours later, the unit activates. I turn on the TV and only see the (I assume) the desktop extension of WIndows 10 on the TV. I am supposed to the see the default splash screen of SRS, but only see the default Windows 10 background. The docking station/Surface Pro shows the standard SRS dashboard. I plug in a laptop and it switches to presenting, but the TV stays on the default Windows 10 background. Again, this worked fine in v2, but ever since v3 came out, this is bugging us. Any ideas how to fix this?16KViews1like41CommentsAutomatic update holidays in AutoAttendant!

Hi Community, Recently, I have come across a scenario worth sharing. PSTN calls drops after 15 mins or 30 mins with Audio Codes SBC or Gateway. This can be related or occur due to numerous reason, however if everything is in place (Network to Configuration) and still the call fails, then you can try the below and if it makes the difference. User makes PSTN call > the flow and connectivity is established > after 15 or 30 mins you see BYE message generated resulting in call drop. changing/modifying the "RTCPActiveCalls" and "EnableSessionTimer" may help or simple does't make any difference. Upon isolation, found that issue is mostly triggered due to a setting in Audio Codes S.B.C "Reset SRTP Upon Re-Key" is enabled (usually disabled by default) By going in to the IP profiles > disabling the setting in AudioCodes the issue was resolved and calls no longer were dropped. P.S - This solution may or may not help you (no harm in trying), But its best recommended to contact support and take assistance if needed 🙂11KViews0likes3CommentsSkype for Business Remember Settings not working

May be an easy one for you guys. I'm looking for best practice, and advice on monitoring our Skype Infrastructure. We have SFB 2016 on premise. At the moment other than monitoring the topology via the control panel I am unsure as the best way to manage the infrastrucutre. It tends to be more of a reactive environment rather than pro-active. Usually an issue will be reported via our helpdesk which will alert ourselves to a problem. Can you reccomend the best way to monitor : Servers within the environment Services that need to be monitored. (What services) SIP etc Would we be best buying a monitoring tool? Would we be best carrying out an hour a week to carry out manual checks? (hopefully this isn't the case). Any advice would be greatly appreciated1KViews0likes1CommentFind Time Auto Schedule Online Meetings - Switched to Teams
This week users started reporting that when they auto schedule an online meeting with Find Time the meeting invites are no longer sending with the Skype for Business log-in information - it's now Teams. We were in coexistence mode for testing and have switched back to Skype for Business only. But Find Time meetings are still sending Teams information. I'm hoping with time the setting change will propagate. but not holding my breath? I haven't seen any communication about this change, did I miss something? Anything I can do to get Find Time to default back to Skype for Business? Many Thanks! -Stephanie4KViews0likes6Comments
