Tasks

How do you mention someone in the comments section of a task? I've seen other queries about this dating back to 2017, and in 2019 Microsoft said they are working on it... so has this been done? Example: My colleague and I have been assigned a task - to upload content onto the website. In the checklist it notes my colleague will write the content, and then I will upload it. I'm trying to tag her in my comment to say, "@ let me know when the copy is ready for me to upload." Is there actually no way to do this?9.6KViews3likes9CommentsRenaming the Planner app in Teams to Tasks - What will be effect if ToDo is not enabled in Tenant?
With the announcement of "Renaming the Planner app in Teams to Tasks" and providing an integrated experience with Todo I have been trying to find out if there will be any impact in our tenant as we have planner turned on and it is used by a number of teams but ToDo is NOT enabled in the tenant. This is because (im told) that Todo relies on Exchange Online and we currently have that disabled due to the migration of Exchange On Premise being an ongoing project. My concern is that the integration of the ToDo functionality with Planner (to be renamed Tasks), might cause the planner tab in teams to stop working correctly if ToDo is not enabled. Can anyone confirm if this is or isnt the case? Also if Todo does require exchange online to be enabled? Whilst I personally welcome this integration functionality wise we are not in a position to change things quickly so I need to find out what impact it may have.5KViews0likes4CommentsPlanner Error: We couldn't complete your request because your item or storage limit has been exceed
All of a sudden I started received the following error message when trying to create new tasks in a plan that I've created in a Team. The error reads: We couldn't complete your request because your item or storage limit has been exceeded. Technical details I have confirmed I have not run out of OneDrive storage which is something I've seen an a cited cause. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?4.6KViews0likes3CommentsHow to create an app button below files tab on the left bar?
Hi everyone, I am leading several teams, and I am on the process of creating one stopshop for all of each team's activities, one important component is "Tasks". What I need now is to add the "Tasks" tab below the "Files" tab on the left side of the Teams interface (I don't yet know the name of this bar, please let me know if you do to enhance my search), what is happening now is that I am getting "Tasks" as a "Bot", but what I really need is to get the "Tasks" tab to enable mewhen clicking on it to view that various teams that tasks are assigned to and quickly navigate the team I need, like when you click on "Teams" tab on the left and all the teams shows up. Your prompt feedback and assistance will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂2.6KViews0likes2CommentsHow do Teams (task) icons work?
Can someone help me and explain how the icons next to the name of a Team or the icon next to a task when handed out work? Sometimes it's just one letter, sometimes it's two, sometimes the first two words, sometimes first and last. I can't figure out how Teams decides. Can you choose the icon when you send out a task? Here at school, I have 3 teachers that use the same Team. When any one of them sends out a task, it gets a "2C" icon in front of the task name. They ask me if it's possible to assign their own icon so it's easier to see which tasks are theirs and which ones belong to their colleagues.Solved2.2KViews0likes1CommentLinking "Group" emails from Planner to Teams
Hello all, We have recently started to use MS planner in addition to our normal workflow with Teams. We have quickly noticed however that there seems to be no easy way to get the task comments from planner to show up on the teams conversation page. All comments are sent to a "Group" email box in exchange. I tried to create a rule in Flow to automatically forward those messages to the Teams page, but Flow does not have access to to the Groups inboxes. Does anyone know a work around to get the comments from Planner (Which is already linked to Teams) to show up in Teams? It seems rather odd to me that MS choose to have "conversations" in planner as an Outlook extension rather than a collaboration tool like Teams. Comments from tasks go here. Cannot get them here, where we do our work.2.1KViews1like1CommentTasks by Planner and To Do not authenticating on Teams Android app
Hello. 1st time posting here... Using the most current version of Teams on the most current version of Android 10 on a fully updated MS Surface Duo (not limited to me) Tasks by Planner and To Do will show all my shared plan lists as well as the My tasks list (tasks, important, planned, etc...) However, when I select any one from the My tasks or shared plans lists, instead of bringing me to my list of tasks from which I can select one from, I'm brought back to the My tasks and shared plans list. I noticed that when I select the Tasks by Planner And To Do icon from the Teams nav menu, it says "authenticating" briefly at the top of the screen and then dissappears. All other functions of Teams on Android are working fine and Tasks was working flawlessly until 2 days ago. The rest of the members of my team are experiencing this failure in tasks not be able to be viewed on the mobile app as well. On a side note, everything is working normally on the desktop and web apps. Has anyone experienced this issue or know of what could be happening? Thanks in advance - Josh1.8KViews0likes2CommentsCan't grade my students work - help please!!
Hello. I created an assignment and a grade system with letters (A - excellent to E - negative) as visible in Image 1. After I evaluated the work of my students I found that the feedback text appeared as expected, but the grade itself doesn't appear, even when I export to Excel (images 2 and 3). I don't want to use points, or at the least don't want the students to see them, just the letters, but I cant even change the grading of my assignment now! What can I do?Solved1.6KViews0likes2Comments
