We're attempting to install the TAP Rooms solution - but the device does not appear in the Teams Rooms devices (though we could initiate a call). What our setup is: On Premise Exchange (2016 CU12), domain synched to AAD. Steps I took: created user in local AD, synched correctly to AAD. Created Room mailbox as per following guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/rooms/with-exchange-on-premises Currently I enabled a 30 day trial Teams Rooms license and have Teams Exploratory assigned to the Rooms account. One thing I am not certain of is if this is enough at least for a trial setup (Teams Exploratory instead of a Microsoft 365 Basic license for ex.) so please confirm if I need any other license at least for trial purposes. After having setup the account on the Tap (did not join it to AD) it doesn't appear in the Teams Rooms Devices. The account is correctly "disabled" both in local AD and in AAD and is listed as a resource in the on premise ECP. Any pointers or heads up on what could be wrong? Should I try to scrap the user account and recreate it from scratch? Maybe it's due to the fact that we have only on premise mailboxes and only synch AD users to AAD so this Exchange resource account (Room) does not synch correctly to the Teams Admin portal for some reason? I've also noticed that it is not listed as a device under the 365 admin panel. Thanks!11KViews0likes1CommentTeams Rooms compatibility matrix capture card
Hello everyone, I have a Teams Rooms related question. We want the achieve screen sharing over HDMI. The users in the meeting room just plug in a HDMI cabel in their laptop and you can see the screen in the meeting. Is there a compatibility matrix for supported capture cards? There is one for zoom rooms, as you can see here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201504265-Kabelgebundene-HDMI-Bildschirmfreigabe-mit-Aufnahmeger%C3%A4t Thanks in advance!5.7KViews0likes3CommentsMTR as a recording device
Hi, I have a Lenovo Thinksmart hub in one of our meeting rooms and had a query if we could use it as a recording device. We have many meetings which we would like recorded and know that if set up early enough we can add recording to the meeting options BUT if it was an impromptu meeting we cannot find an option for the MTR to turn on recording, is this possible? Thanks5.5KViews0likes1CommentMake a Content Camera the Default Camera?
Hey everyone, I just recently setup a couple teams rooms in the office and I'm running into an annoying problem. The yealink camera that we got for the large conference room is by default a "content camera" and Teams does not seem to register it as a "default camera". Is there a way to change the settings on this to make it the default camera? I haven't been able to find any options to allow me to do it from Teams Administration or from the Teams Room Tablet. Thank you all!4.2KViews1like2CommentsTeams room content share with Zoom / Webex
Does anyone know if there is a way to use a microsoft teams room to join a zoom/webex meeting but also use the local HDMI cable for conent sharing? I can get joined into zoom/webex without issue on my teams room but content sharing appears to be missing (unless i join the same zoom meeting from my laptop and share screen).4KViews0likes1CommentTeams Rooms Poly TC8 connection breaks when tapping "Join"
We manage 4 Poly X50/TC8 devices on two different tenants and different sites. Since last week, all devices that have had their Teams Rooms account logged off and on, experience the same issue. So this includes all newly configured devices. When tapping "Join" on the TC8, the device briefly gives a message saying it cannot connect, automatically rebuilds the Teams Rooms account connection, and breaks the pairing with the X50 through Teams (According to Poly X50 webui, there is no pairing issue, but Teams says it cannot find a device) After a few minutes the device is found and a pairing code can be entered. But, the same issue occurs when tapping "Join" again. The TC8 is therefore unusable. The only way to join a meeting is disconnecting the TC8 and clicking "Join" on the screen (USB mouse connected to the X50) Tests have been done without firewalls or anything between the device and the internet, but to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?Solved3.6KViews0likes3CommentsMicrosoft Enforces New License Rules for Teams Room Devices
On March 24, Microsoft announced new rules for licensing Teams Rooms Devices. Instead of being able to assign a user subscription license (like Office 365 E3), tenants must assign a Teams Rooms Pro or Teams Rooms Standard license to the room mailboxes used by devices. If they don’t, the devices won’t be able to connect after July 1, 2023. Microsoft suggests a script to find licensed room mailboxes. It’s OK, but we can make the script run much faster, which might just be important in the types of tenants that use Teams Rooms devices. https://office365itpros.com/2023/03/29/teams-rooms-devices-licenses/3KViews0likes0CommentsTeams Rooms experience for a Small Meeting Room

Hello! I get various Teams Devices (Panels, Phones, MTRoA) enrolling to EndpointManager/Intune without any problem. Works perfectly. The enroll, they are checked against policies, etc.. all good. HOWEVER, I totally fail with them showing up on the corporate iIdentifiers page. I tried adding them with both a) their serial number as reported in the TAC or the device properties as well as b) their MAC address as suggested by some blogs. No difference. They do not report on the corporate identifiers page ("never contacted )and therefore do not move automatically from being personal devices to corporate owned devices. Is there any trick I miss? Thanks for any pointers.1.5KViews0likes0Comments
