That's one of the important things that is missing in WAC 1907. even if not as part of the main features, make it available as an extension to optionally install it whoever needs it. Then, Microsoft can expect people to move from RSAT to the new WAC.16KViews6likes4CommentsWindows Admin Center: Revert "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting
We just upgraded our Windows Admin Center install and I accidentally checked the "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting during the update / prior to configuring our hosts for that feature. We want to use this, but need more time to troubleshoot roll-out. Is there a line command or anything that will allow me to undo that setting? I know if I run setup again I can (for example) change SSL thumbprint, but that setting to "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" is not available in setup again for toggling. Thanks!Solved46KViews3likes9CommentsWindows Admin Center Custom URL

Hi all, I'm trying to add our HCI infrastructure to WAC but when I clock the + button, there is not option for 'Hyper-Converged Cluster Connection'. See screenshot. I am running WAC 2009. Is there a module for HCI that needs to be installed in order for it to be a selectable option here? I have a Storages Spaces Direct Cluster on Windows Server 2022 and I have Windows Admin Center in a current version (1.4.2212.08003) Seems like, that version some has changed in Volume management with Dedup enabled CSVs. When opening the volume WAC throw an error: Couldn't obtain storage pool information. Error: (1) RemoteException: The specified module 'Microsoft.ReFsDedup.Commands' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory. (2) RemoteException: The term 'Get-ReFSDedupSchedule' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. I've googled 'Get-ReFSDedupSchedule' as a cmdlet... There is only 1 refence online, pointing to a Q&A article with no info. Windows Server 2022 - Storage Spaces Direct Cluster - Potential Bug - Microsoft Q&A The powershell module "Microsoft.ReFsDedup.Commands" isn't available within the WAC directories or the windows powershell default directories. Has anybody seen that error?2.4KViews0likes5CommentsUsing Active Directory Extension on Member Server
Hello WAC fellows, Is it possible to use the Active Directory extension on Member Server (with RSAT-AD-Tools installed) instead of connecting directly to a Domain Controller? I'd like to let users do certain tasks using an AD-Frontend of WAC, but I don't want to give them any kind of permission on the Domain Controllers. Ideally they would connectto a Management-Server using WAC and edit the AD using the AD-Extension. Any ideas?1.3KViews1like1CommentWAC Azure Extension vs Local Installation - Feature Set checklist
Hi All Is there any article that has a comprehensive side by side of the features that are available via the WAC Extension in Azure (Arc specifically) vs downloading and installing WAC locally I was trying to follow Thomas Mauer's guide to deploy an AKS cluster locally. I wanted to achieve this from Azure, but the AKS blade/option is not present via this extension. Is there a method to connect to the local WAC from Azure, similar to the way the extension is presented? I am aware that I could deploy WAC locally, configure AKS on it, then join that on its own to Azure. My use-case on this is that I have a bunch of bare-metal that has a lot of compute power that would make for excellent local clusters or dev environments.364Views0likes0CommentsDelete tags in WAC
Once you create a tag, unless I am missing something, there is no way to edit or delete it. You can remove a tag from a machine but that is about it. Eventually the list of tags will grow too large for manageability and usability and misspelled and stale tags will linger forever... Has anyone discovered a way to perform that task or is it in on a roadmap for future releases? Thank you in advance.Solved2.7KViews1like3CommentsWindows Admin Center Heartbeat not reliable
In the Windows Admin Center, I enabled Azure Monitor for a number of servers and added an alert rule "Heartbeat" in Windows Admin Center. I noticed that this alert rule does work in some cases but also doesn't do much in many other cases. The rule is visible in the Azure Log Analytics workspace.
