Hello all, Does anyone have any information on when Private Channels will get Planners? Teams is a collaborative tool, but you can't assign tasks to people in private channels due to the lack of planners. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Solved412KViews29likes51CommentsMS TEAMS ON MOBILE BROWSER
Hi, So I want to be able to access MS Teams meetings on the mobile browser itself, i.e on the mobile web app. I don't want our customers to be asked to download the MS Teams mobile app. They should be able to join meetings directly from the browser itself. What should I do? Thanks, RichaSolved233KViews0likes32CommentsDoes Microsoft Teams use Global Address List (organization) contacts?
Hi, I have a bunch of contacts in the Global Address List with all their contact details, like email, telephone numbers, mobile numbers, etc. I have a calling plan. So I'm able to call anyone with a phone number. But I can't find an option in Microsoft Teams to view my organizations contacts (the Global Address List). I can see my own personal contacts (from Outlook), but that is not what I'm looking for. Is this possible yet and is there something with my tenant (or teams settings / policies) or is this not possible in Microsoft Teams. My question is.... Why not?Solved167KViews4likes23CommentsDial Tone in Microsoft Teams Meeting
Hello Tech Community, We are currently experiencing an issue where users are hearing a dial tone in a Microsoft Teams meeting. We are currently in Islands Mode and the default chat app for Office is Skype for Business, and the users use both applications. We initially thought that the issue was due to users attempting to use call controls for Teams, therefore taking Skype into an off-hook state , causing that dial tone. However, one of our UC guys has said that this isn't in fact what is happening. When he either clicks the Teams toast or the join button from the calendar, the Teams meeting starts as usual, but Skype plays a dial tone, and he needs to exit the Skype app for the dial tone to stop. This also seems to have coincided with a recent office application update. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Alex.139KViews1like12CommentsShare Screen Window Switching
Hello, everyone. We're in the process from standardizing video conferencing from a previous service to fully adopting Microsoft Teams. One feature people were hoping to use is that during a screen share they can choose a particular app window to share, but then when they would like to switch to a different app window, it looks like they can't do that without first ending the screen share and starting a whole new sharing session. This briefly bounces the focus of the meeting back to video participants and ultimately creates a pause in the meeting or presentation. To contrast, Zoom has a feature where when you're sharing a window you can either end the sharing session or start a new sharing session with a different window. Meaning the user can effectively just switch to a different window to share, without the pause of having to close the sharing session and start a new one. It's especially useful to my users who have multiple windows open and sharing the full desktop window isn't an option. Am I just missing this setting somewhere? Thanks much.Solved129KViews6likes18CommentsStatus does not update (New Teams)
Hi, We've been testing the new Teams before we roll it out more widely. We have noticed that your status does not update consistently with the new Teams, as in, here is one scenario as an example I'm showing as available and somebody calls me (working well at this point) I pick up the call and when I do I show as busy (still all going well) I present during the call and the status changes to do not disturb (so far so good still) I end the call, but my status stays as do not disturb indefinitely until I click on reset status. (this is the behaviour that didn't used to happen in classic Teams) All throughout the above I did not manually change my status; it was just updating automatically as my activity changed, but did not update in the end when my call ended. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Andrea123KViews12likes99CommentsTeams Join Online button opens browser in stead of desktop application
Whenever a user clicks a "Join Online" button in their Outlook reminder or when a link to a teams channel is clicked in SharePoint, it opens the browser first and not the user's already running instance of Teams. Is there a way around this?Solved119KViews0likes11CommentsLink URL to Team Channel
Hello all, I'm trying to link a URL from a fillable PDF to a "Teams Channel". If I plug in the following URL, it works great (it links the user directly to a personal Teams Chat). However, rather than link the user to Chat channel, I want the user to be linked directly to a general Teams Channel. (I hope this makes sense). Is any of this possible? https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=XXX@XXX.com&topicName=Completed-training&message=Training Complete:Solved113KViews1like6CommentsTeams Business Voice and extensions
I am looking for some assistance if anyone can help out. I am migrating our existing phone system to Business Voice and I am running into some issues getting extensions used how they used to be. Basically we have our main number (ex. 123456789) and I would like to be able to dial externally then input the extension (ex. 115) and reach that user. And internally just dial another users extension to reach them. Here are a few specific things I am running into Our auto attendant is set to dial by extension but I cant actually get it to route to a users extension We have the users Office number field in Azure and O365 as 123456789;ext=115 For internal extensions I am looking for a way - maybe through dial plans? to get the input of the extension to go to the user as well. Note our auto attendant number and user numbers are separate meaning they extensions are not part of the main number in any way (1234567115) where we could just cut off part of the number. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.95KViews1like10CommentsTeams screen sharing made easy across multiple users
A feature many can benefit from at the enterprise level is allowing multiple people to share screens and then allow the viewers to easily see what screen is selected. 1 person can drive and switch screens but when it switches its the user who's screen is sharing at that time. The issue we encounter is with our Scrum teams and Scrum Masters driving the screen but then we have product owners who regularly run the meetings as well. It is a pain to keep waiting for screens to stop sharing and the other person connecting. It takes time every time so we end up having 1 person drive the whole time but then our flow is a bit more choppy. I think about this as being in person and 1 person standing up to present and the other person having a comment or wanting to write something on the board or show something they can just get up and do it. I see this working in Teams virtually when multiple people are collaborating and have different tools they are using. Some on our calls are using Salesforce, Rally, SNOW, excel, power point, etc and trying to show all across multiple people who own each of those documents is a pain.Solved92KViews22likes14Comments
