Viva Goals Retirement
Hi, Microsoft just announce at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/goals/goals-retirement that Viva Goals ending in December 2025. How do you feel about this announcement? It was one of the top business use cases with significant business value in Viva Suite after Viva Topics deprecation.
Alternatives to Viva Goals?
Viva Goals being retired wasn't good news. It put many of us in the community in a pretty tough spot. There is less than a year to find a new OKR software and migrate. We really liked Viva Goals because our team could use it inside Microsoft Teams. Some of the alternatives we are considering switching to are: Teamflect WorkBoard Perdoo All three of these have great Microsoft Teams integration and solid OKR features. We are also considering other alternatives such as Profit Co and Lattice. Any opinions on or experience with these tools?
Migration to Viva Engage
Hi Would anyone know if there are more options to upload data from our old company portal in bulk to Viva Engage other than the API? I just finished the export of the old portal and have a JSON file with all posts and links to pictures and documents. I scripted everything to download the documents and use the ID of the post as filenames so I can add them back. Drawback of using the API is that you can't post on behalf of someone else so all user related data is lost nor can you set the date on which the post is originally created. Any tips would be welcome. Thanks!Project For the Web Connector - PWA?
Hi, I'm trying to connect the tasks from my initiatives automatically using the Project For the Web Connector. Does anyone know if I can use the same connector to connect to my PWA (Project Web App) instance? At this time, some of our projects in my organization are managed via PWA. So I wonder if there is an environment permission in PWA to be allowed to I can select in the connector? I can see all my projects from Project Online just fine, just the ones hosted in PWA are missing. If there is another channel where I can ask this question or get support, please let me know.
Viva Goals - Reassigning Objectives & Key Results
Hi All, I’m wondering if someone would be able to help with what seems like a Viva Goals glitch described below please? It seems that when reassigning objectives or key results within Viva Goals, it seems to ‘hang onto’ the data from the older owner when creating filtered views. E.G.1: I reassigned objectives & key results what were initially assigned to OldUser1, to NewUser2. Yet, when I do a filter by owner OldUser1, which should be blank, it shows me NewUser2 newly assigned objectives E.G.2: Similarly, User3 has reassigned some of his objectives to others, yet when filtering for his objectives only, it brings up other objectives that are no longer related to User3. These also appear within his “My OKRs” view which clutters up his filtered view. I’m guessing its something to do with cached data maybe but just guessing.
