We have synced a bunch of security groups from our AD envirement into the Azure AD. As an example we have a group called GG_DEP_IT which contains all the IT members. This group is used OnPrem to delegate folder permission, application access and more. Now we wanna built a Teams-Group for our IT-Departmen (and many more) this only works with Microsoft 365 Group. Until now I've not found a way to add all members or the group "GG_DEP_IT" to an Microsoft 365 group. Since we manage all the groups on prem, the membership there is correct and clean. What would be the correct way to create a teams-channels for all department by using the existing groups? The Dynamic-Groups does not work, since the department is not always correct in the AD-Attribute. Is there a way to extract the members of each group into a new group for this purpose? What we would like to avoid is have to take care of two idependent groups manually, since a bunch of automatisation already clean up the onprem groups.Solved6.8KViews0likes4CommentsEntra Groups and managing Access to Teams or Town Hall
Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to grant access to a Teams or Town Hall meeting using an Entra ID Group without inviting all the users in the Group? This way you could send the meeting link to users in the Group as needed. For large organizations with many external partners managed in Entra, this would be very beneficial. This can be done already with the meeting recordings in Stream via the Share button.114Views0likes0CommentsBest way to add and update a custom to client's MS teams app.
Greeting everyone! I work at a SaaS company and we have a multi tenant architecture where every client hosts their own instance of the product and the data. We don't have a common database or server. We're working on building an MS teams integration for the same more specifically a bot that responds to certain commands and does proactive messaging. Extra info We don't have common messaging endpoint for the bot (Multi tenant architecture). and for some security reasons we cannot create a common endpoint to reroute the incoming request as well to the correct route. My 2 questions are: 1. What's the best way to achieve this - Installing and updating a custom app with minimum to no help from client's IT/Admin team. 2. Is there any post request where we can send the .zip app package and make it work? We were going through this - Publish an app using graph API. Is there any easy way of getting Authorization bearer token here required for the header (Not all of our clients are tech savvy). Thanks in advance ๐1.9KViews0likes2CommentsHow to create and log into different organizations with one account?
I'm self-employed, have Microsoft 365 Business Basic, and interact primarily with two different companies. To keep my communications between these two separate, I've created two tenants in Azure, intended to serve as the organizations (in MS Teams) corresponding to these two companies. This is how it looks like in Azure: However, I can't figure out how to actually use these new organizations. I was expecting for the Teams interface to allow me to switch between the organizations, as seen here in another (personal) account of mine: This personal account is part of five different organizations, some created by me, and some by others, and I can switch organizations as I wish by clicking on my profile picture. On top, whenever I log in at teams.microsoft.com, I automatically get asked which organization I want to log in with. Not only do I not seem to be able to switch organizations like this using my business account, I don't even see a way to log into these new organizations at all. Logging in with my primary handle username @org1.onmicrosoft.com only gives me access to Org1, and when trying to log into e.g. Org2 with username#EXT#@org2.onmicrosoft.com, which is the handle that Azure shows me for Org 2, I just get an error message. In short, I just want to be able to do what I've been doing with my personal account all along โ log into multiple organizations with just one username and password, and be able to switch organizations with the click of a button. How do I set that up? Thank you in advance!13KViews0likes3CommentsThe term 'New-CsTeamsComplianceRecordingPolicy' is not recognized

If someone creates a new team, users get a message in their activity pane like "Mr. X added you to a new team [Teamname]". We - however - let people first go through an approval process and in the end the team will be created by an App. This results in a confusing message for users that looks like this: [AppName] has added you to [TeamName] I am wondering if there is any option to change this text if a new team/group is created via the GraphAPI in a client credential flow. Any ideas?658Views0likes1CommentAutomatic Email Send in Microsoft Bot Framework Composer
I am developing chatbot using Microsoft bot framework composer. I added this chatbot to Microsoft Teams channel as well. It is a IT Help desk chatbot. We have a separate ticketing system, whenever user send a email to support@abc.com, the support ticket would be automatically created. I want my chatbot to send a email automatically to create a ticket when the user needs to create a ticket using chatbot.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsMember added via dynamic group (Azure) need to wait almost 24 hours before team is showing in Teams
I have problems with the member whom are automatically added with a dynamic group. They don't get the specified team in MS Teams for hours. These are the steps I took;(https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/dynamic-memberships) - I created a Sharepoint site - I created a teams associated with the sharepoint site - I converted the members group to Dynamic - I created a rule to Attribute1 When I edit a on-premises AD user's Attribute1(Custom attribute 1) to the value I configured and I sync this to AzureAD the user is showing in de members tab in Azure AD, so I know these configurations work. Also when I go to teams I confirmed that adding users manually is now disabled/not working, as per design with dynamic members group. I can also see this user is now added to the teams in the admin panel of teams. However I don't see the member in MS Teams(When I check with an Admin user) and the user is added almost 24 hours later. And also removing the user(deleting the custom attribute and resyncing) from the dynamic group takes hours(6+). I tested with a single user(different users each time). and everything is synced properly, I just don't get the Team in MS teams within an appropriate timespan.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe-registering with Teams (free)
Hello, some time ago, I deleted my Teams (free) organization and the associated Azure AD tenant. I now wanted to re-register with Teams. However, I get the following error message: Sorry, but weโre having trouble signing you in. Troubleshooting details Request Id: d5d90e4a-1fb7-424f-8dc5-3c7d3cf08a00 Correlation Id: c2d3cead-fd84-40c3-a4a4-0a56bec8fa74 Timestamp: 2020-07-28T13:10:45Z Message: AADSTS90002: Tenant '62c25437-6228-4d23-8f6e-697b42d78960' not found. This may happen if there are no active subscriptions for the tenant. Check to make sure you have the correct tenant ID. Check with your subscription administrator. I already tried to create a new Azure AD tenant. However, this didn't solve the problem. What should I do in order to be able to re-register with Teams?
