We are starting to use Microsoft Team in the company. We have automatic startup set up when the user logs in to Windows 10 and we need it to start in minimized mode and there's no way. The problem is that every time we turn on the computer, Teams starts and you see the last conversation, last work computer, etc and we don't want it to be seen because there may be confidential information that we don't want to show when we turn on the computer to have a meeting with an external party. Can you add some functionality in the menu that allows the execution of Teams in minimized mode? With Microsoft Skype for Business it is possible and we don't understand why not with Teams. Thank youSolved106KViews0likes17CommentsWhere are the Microsoft To Do theme backgrounds stored?
I was wondering where these backgrounds are stored, since a few of them are quite pretty and wanted to use them as my desktop wallpaper too. I was not able to stumble onto them through reverse image searches, thus I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'd like to create a Teams background that has a floating logo. The closest I can come is to have created a PNG with the small logo in the corner of the screen. (Attached) But even though the logo is 1/12th of the screen, the balance of the screen still projects a white background that halos. I'm not interested in covering up anything behind me. I'm only interested in having my logo or even if it's just a few text words on the screen--kind of like a floating logo and nothing else. Is that possible to accomplish in 3D Paint or Powerpoint? Is there a certain type of file or magic fix that will eliminate everything in a file except for the logo or text? Thank you.41KViews1like4CommentsMS Teams virtual background effects blending with real background
I've been using MS Teams since COVID hit and this week I've had my first issue with virtual backgrounds. No different settings than what I am used to. I'm pretty sure my MS Teams was just running off default settings. When I'm in a meeting, I can set the background to "blur" which works properly but I would rather use a virtual background. However, when I do this now it works but there are some items in my room that also appear in the background - it's mixing the virtual and real backgrounds. For example, my bed and a picture that is on my wall in the background is visible with the space or office setting virtual background. I tried restarting Teams, uninstall and reinstall, closing and opening, signing out and in. Is there any setting particular to this? Or is this just a matter of this won't work for me anymore? Is it the laptop getting older? My colleagues still have working Teams backgrounds. Thanks!! any help is appreciated.Solved9.7KViews0likes2CommentsBITS Downloading App updates from unknown endpoint
Hi, Our IDS started freaking out today because a large number of our endpoints started initiating BITS downloads to an unknown endpoint. My initial reaction was ransomware, but after further investigation it appears that these BITS downloads are updates for Windows Store Apps. I am making this post to confirm that these endpoints are actually indeed official Microsoft endpoints. The BITS requests I had seen were all for the Limelight Networks CDN (llnwd[.]net), which I have heard hosts content for a lot of MSPs, one of which being Microsoft. Checking the logs, it appears that our workstations have never made BITS requests to this CDN. All previous BITS updates were carried out using official microsoft.com endpoints. The following are some examples of the domains seen in the BITS requests: ic-c39e4900-0f7065-msftstoretlu19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-0d5ab5-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-08b3f9-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-0700f8-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net Although all my investigations point to these being official Microsoft endpoints, I am worried that a CDN is being used because a malicious actor could easily mangle the URLs to make them look like official Microsoft ones. Is this the correct place to confirm that the above sub-domains are official Microsoft, and if not where should I ask this question instead? I am currently starting to configure for a smaller organisation, using Intune for MDM, I've managed to successfully change my Azure AD login to be a standard user (I don't want every user having full administration rights) - that works well and I've assigned an Azure AD group to have admin privileges. So my next step is to set a corporate lock screen and desktop background image, using this script. But I now have an issue, either way I want to handle the script in Intune. Running script as: Run this script using the logged on credentials: No The script runs, but the user doesn't download the image files (having tested with administrative privileges in Powershell - the user doesn't have an internet connection, as the laptop is on wifi). So the lock screen and desktop background don't get set. Run this script using the logged on credentials: Yes The script runs, downloads the files successfully but then can't set the registry keys (as my standard user doesn't have permission to alter registry keys). So the lock screen and desktop background don't get set. Do Powershell scripts run in order - and sequentially? That way I could set two scripts, one to download and one to set the registry keys. Or is there any other way of achieving this? Please bear in mind I'm using Windows 10 Pro - so the usual Intune background settings don't work with. Many thanks.Solved23KViews0likes7CommentsCustom MS Teams background cropping
Hi, Our company has created a couple of backgrounds for MS Teams, however for some people the backgrounds appear to be cropping and cutting out some of the background. The images are 1920 x 1080 pixels, so unsure why for some people it works while for others it crops. Is it a settings problem that some people might have on their computer? Because it seems like a simple upload procedure. Any help would be appreciated!11KViews1like5CommentsSuggestion: Allow us to change the font color in Immersive Reader mode
We have access to all of these colors for the background color in Immersive Reader mode in Edge but no option to change Font color. Font color only changes from black to white when background is black. It would help me make the text better for reading by choosing a different font color than black when I'm using a background color that is not white. https://streamable.com/pr5os2.5KViews7likes7CommentsNot having a add new button by the background effects
Hi, before the update I could add new backgrounds, but now with the new update the add new button is gone, I tried adding images via the folder uploads but they just don't show in teams. I already deleted and redownloaded teams several times. Also, my OS is a mac. thank you3.9KViews0likes2Comments
