Hi everyone! I have come across a requirement where the client would like to use an excel spreadsheet, a service account and application registration to manage group membership for a confidential group. They would like to create a group from which the members cannot leave, see other team members and cannot see the group itself. Now, I have the concept of the flow with me but for the life of me, I cannot get around to finding/configuring a group that meets the requirement. Have you guys come across this sort of scenario? Group Configuration: Users should not be able to view the group Users should not be able to view members of the group Users should not be able to leave the group Thanks in advance.56Views0likes2CommentsNow announcing the Microsoft 365 SMB Customer Advisory Board

Hello Community We are currently looking for a solution to capture our internal knowledge in a kind of knowledge base. We already evaluted several tool for things like that, but all seem too sophisticated for our basic needs. So I start this discussion here at the top node, please feel free to move it, if there is a place where it fits better. We are looking for a system, that can handle the standard office 365 document file types word, excel, powerpoint, Visio and pdf. We would like to implement following functions, which we believe should not be difficult to implement, but currently we lack the knowledge of how to do. Automatic, unique number generator for each new knowledge document several document templates to ensure uniform and easy to navigate/read document structure interlink documents if they reference each other in content status like "in work", "revised", "released", incl. versioning workflow Assign a user how is in charge in careing for the content of the document in terms of actuality, correctness, etc. date reminder for periodically review the document after releasing (e.g. yearly) allow search in document title and content I think, a lot of the functions is already implemented in the standard functionality of sharepoint. But maybe there are easy add-on tools with which we can implement those functions "as a prototype" without having much knowledge about deep-dive .net coding. Looking forward to any interesting hints and answers40Views0likes1CommentAdding "admin" only field(s) in MS Forms
Hello. How best to have an "for admins only" section to an MS forms, that can be filled in by just a few people in our organization, AFTER a form has been submitted by a general user? For example, we may want a text field that documents a final decision, or a Yes/No field to indicate a certain item is done. But the edited data should be somehow stored in the underlying MS forms data. Or can this only be done with Sharepoint List and a Power App? Suggestions very welcome. Thanks!!!114Views0likes1CommentHow can I share a word doc for review but not download?
We have an issue with reviewers downloading shared files and returning them 3-4 weeks later with markup that is out of sync with the shared version. I see how to share for review. I can share for view only - no download. Is it possible to share for review and not allow downloading?344Views0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Tools for Small and Medium Businesses AMA

After working at several startups, I have reached a point where I can no longer work in environments that do not leverage the amazing features of the Microsoft 365 platform for collaboration among all employees. I am currently running a one-man shop and thoroughly enjoy using almost all the services that Microsoft 365 offers. Granted I a have been working as the administrator and do not have complex setups, but I do see the power of 365 and I am a big believer in the One Drive / Sharepoint framework progress. What I am looking for is a company that already has the practices in place for 365 and would like to see if anyone has recommendations for companies. My concern is joining a new job and being presented with a disjointed set of productivity tools instead of using streamlined solutions like Slack. Is there an award ceremony or a list of companies that are consistently recognized as the most efficient users of Microsoft 365? I would rather not settle for companies that use Slack, Airtable, or Monday.com when Microsoft's tools already have better tools for seamless collaboration.235Views0likes0CommentsHow to use the new Microsoft Loop features [NEW FEATURES 2024]
