Hello all, Does anyone have any information on when Private Channels will get Planners? Teams is a collaborative tool, but you can't assign tasks to people in private channels due to the lack of planners. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Solved412KViews29likes51CommentsMS TEAMS ON MOBILE BROWSER
Hi, So I want to be able to access MS Teams meetings on the mobile browser itself, i.e on the mobile web app. I don't want our customers to be asked to download the MS Teams mobile app. They should be able to join meetings directly from the browser itself. What should I do? Thanks, RichaSolved233KViews0likes32CommentsUse of Teams Calendar and Outlook Calendar
I have created a Team for use within a specific Group of which all members use Office 365 and the Outlook Calendar to plan time off, meetings etc. To improve collaborative working I would like details on personal calendars (and respective group calendars) to be visible on the Teams Calendar so that all information relating to Team Members diversions etc are shown in one area. Is this possible with what Teams provides or do I need to procure an additional App/Plug in. Can anyone please provide details of how I do this so that it can be presented to the Team during a call later this week. The aim of doing this is to reduce the need for Team members to have to update numerous Calendars and planning Sheets and to have all information in one place to assist and enhance planning. Many thanks156KViews1like5CommentsInstalling MS Teams on shared RDS Server 2019
I'm having trouble getting Teams working correctly on a shared RDS, Server 2019 version 1809. I've been using this page as a guide - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/teams-for-vdi#deploy-the-teams-desktop-app-to-the-vm, have downloaded the 64bit Teams MSI from here and installed using the per machine option: msiexec /i <path_to_msi> /l*v <install_logfile_name> ALLUSER=1 ALLUSERS=1. This details the situation whilst logged on as admin. After opening and signing into Teams with licensed O365 creds for the first time, once the application is closed it won't re-open again. Either a blank white window with MS Teams in the title bar opens or the Teams icon displays in the system tray and no window opens at all. Whilst this is happening dozens of teams.exe processes change between 'running' and 'suspended' in task manager. Troubleshooting led me to deleting the settings.json file from %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, the app would then open correctly but the same scenario would occur after signing in. Further troubleshooting has led to enabling run as administrator on C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Teams\current\teams.exe. This completely resolves the problem for the admin user but any other user trying to launch Teams on the shared desktop is greeted with a UAC prompt. I'd rather solve whatever it is i'm doing wrong rather than workaround running Teams as admin for all users. Any suggestions on how i can troubleshoot this further?129KViews4likes5CommentsMy Laptop shuts down during TEAMS calls
Like few other collogues I'm using a new Lenovo L13 Yoga. We are using Microsoft TEAMS as our formal application for conference and video calls. Recently we started facing a "random" issue in which after some time in the call, the computer shuts down. the shut down accrues without a warning and it is a brute force shutdown i.e. without a safe close of all applications. It is as if you were pressing a long press on the power button. We tried to reinstall TEAMS and to make sure that our laptops are working with the latest update, with no change. Did anyone ever faced this phenomenon? Any suggestions? Thanks, EricSolved118KViews3likes158CommentsWe need to prevent participants from muting and removing each other
Hello. I am working for a private high school here. We are using Microsoft Teams to give lectures, and classes to our students. It was exhausting but we managed to give each of our students their own account. The issue is that we have some students that are hard to deal with, and they usually interrupt the class, or mute random people or even kick random people from the meetings. I searched everywhere but I can't find a setting or directive to prevent members from doing this kind of behavior. We want that only the teacher is able to mute and remove people.114KViews5likes22CommentsAllow Teams application start minimized
We are starting to use Microsoft Team in the company. We have automatic startup set up when the user logs in to Windows 10 and we need it to start in minimized mode and there's no way. The problem is that every time we turn on the computer, Teams starts and you see the last conversation, last work computer, etc and we don't want it to be seen because there may be confidential information that we don't want to show when we turn on the computer to have a meeting with an external party. Can you add some functionality in the menu that allows the execution of Teams in minimized mode? With Microsoft Skype for Business it is possible and we don't understand why not with Teams. Thank youSolved106KViews0likes17Comments
