copy
15 TopicsEditing multiple entries in Planner, e.g. using a quick edit view, a fill handle or the like
There should be a way to quickly edit one property of several tasks in Planner - for example setting a due date. What I have in mind is the fill handle in Excel or the Quick Edit View in SharePoint task lists. As far as I know, this is missing (also see answers below). If so, it seems to me to be a small but highly significant feature request. Regards Jo48Views1like2CommentsWeb Capture "copy" button should copy an image file, ready to be pasted into a folder
after using Web capture and snipping part of the screen, when you use the Copy button, you don't get an image file in the clipboard, you still need to open a new program like Paint to paste it in there and then save it as a file to desktop or folder. I'm suggesting to change this and simplify it, when we press Copy, then copy the actual image file ready to be pasted in a folder or desktop. you can still get the old way of copying if you press "add notes" and then press copy. I'm sending this as feedback using feedback button on Edge, if you like this, do the same. more feedback = higher priority11KViews4likes6CommentsBug in selected-text Copy function?
Experiencing strange behaviours in Teams on Mac client. Using 'Copy' / CMD-C / Right click Copy on a selection of text in a message works as expected. However repeating the same within a code block ``` text ``` has strange behaviour. Usually I'm selecting something like a filename from a chunk someone else has pasted, so I select only the filename/path and click Copy. When I paste it, the entire* text block is pasted - not just the what was selected. * However, if the pasted code block contains one or more URLs then these appear to act as delimiters and only the text between the URLs is copied. It is frustrating because in order to extract specific lines from Teams I must first paste it to an interim editor, then copy the bit I want out from there.3.4KViews1like2CommentsNot able to copy and paste two of six pie charts from Excel worksheet
If you look at the pie charts tab in the attached file, I have a note and arrows pointing to the bottom two pie charts. I am absolutely not able to copy either of these and then paste somewhere. I have tried CTRL-C, using the ribbon to copy as a picture, and using the ribbon to copy as a bitmap. Neither of them will go on my clipboard. I also tried a co-worker's PC and could not do it either. Please help. I need to add these to a presentation for my boss!! UPDATE: I have narrowed the issue down to the act of adding "values from cells" to the data labels on these two charts. I can copy them prior to adding "values from cells" and after adding them, the chart will not go on the clipboard.21KViews0likes20CommentsA kind of curious toggle button added to Share, copy, and paste in Edge
there is a new description saying: Using the "Link" format by default when copying links within a web page will load the destination page in the background to obtain the destination page's title. Loading the destination page in the background will have the effect of visiting the page to the server. However, the visit to the page will not appear in your browsing history. which is good, explains how the feature works. Edge Version 89.0.736.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) but I don't see the reason for a toggle button. it says "Use the format selected above by default when copying links within web pages" and you can already select the "default" by clicking/tapping on one of the two squares, so what's the point of a toggle button? an extra confirmation? turning it off and on has the same behavior for me. in my opinion it's a little useless.2.2KViews3likes8CommentsText highlighting
Hello, I've noticed an issue using MS Edge regarding the highlighting (or selection?) of text for copying & pasting - using either the mouse or shift+cursor keys - in particular that the browser has a real problem allowing 'reverse' highlighting - i.e. placing the cursor at the end of a portion of text and then trying to highlight the characters/words prior to it. 'Forward' highlighting works much better, but this is a problem I've not seen in IE, Firefox or even Chrome to the best of my knowledge. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks, Jonathan893Views1like1Comment
