Support URI schemes like ms-avd:connect across all platforms in Windows App
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/uri-scheme We would like to request the implementation of support for URI schemes, such as ms-avd:connect, in the latest Windows App. Currently, this feature is available only in MSRDC. We are developing a web app portal running in the browser that allows users to connect to their Azure Virtual Desktop instances. Having this feature in the Windows App across all platforms (including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS) would significantly benefit our development and provide a seamless experience for our users.
Windows Mobile App - iPad version on AVP pauses music when remote desktop output audio
I'm using the Windows Mobile App iPad version on Apple Vision Pro - if I play music in the Music app running on AVP and a remote desktop emits any sound then the Music app pauses and never resumes. Same applies to other audio content (e.g. YouTube audio/vide would pause when played on AVP/Safari if a remote desktop emmits sound and it wouldn't resume if the remote desktop stop emitting sound). It would be best I think if it would just mix audio (local and remote), or at least resume after the pause. Also, currently if I mute the remote audio, although it does get muted if an audio is played (still muted/inaudible) it still pauses audio/media on AVP.Windows Mobile App on Apple Vision Pro and Bluetooth Keyboard
When using the Windows Mobile application (iPad version) on the Apple Vision Pro with the Magic Keyboard, there is an issue. If I switch to another application or window (for example, Safari) and use the keyboard, and then switch back to the Windows application, the keyboard no longer functions. I must click on the virtual keyboard icon, then click again to disable it before the keyboard can be used again.Unable to Login to Cloud PC on iOS (IPAD) with the new Windows App Mobile.
The new Windows App Mobile on iOS seems to be broken and does not proceed to Client Authentication Screen after SSO. I'm stuck on a popup screen that says "Waiting for the Microsoft Authentication Service..." when trying to access Cloud PC. Prior to upgrading to Windows App Mobile, I would see the pop up for authentication which would say, "Enter Your Credentials, These credentials will be used to connect to... " Note: The same issue doesn't occur if trying to access an enterprise internal Windows PC. Sander team - please look into this.
Issues when using RD client on iPad with hardware keyboard
I’m using a 2022 iPad Pro m2 with Magic Keyboard on iPadOS 18, when I’m connected to my laptop, my keyboard doesn’t work at all unless I click the keyboard icon on the right side of the screen, which is usually for the onscreen keyboard and f-keys. I didn’t need to do this in the older versions of RD client, would be pretty annoying if a keyboard bar and a control dot have to pop up even I’m using a hardware keyboard. Also when I’m trying to type Chinese, it would use iOS’s Chinese input method instead of Windows Chinese input method, which is also really annoying and buggy especially in iOS 18 which the word selector wouldn’t show up at all. Would be really nice if Microsoft could solve these issues!
No audio playing in RD client app in the IPad Pro
I’m trying to launch my laptop in the RD Client app in my iPad Pro. the problem is that I’m not getting any sound out of any media that I’m playing in the remote session in the iPad, although I made sure to configure device and audio redirection on my iPad to (play on this device), yet still no sound is coming out of the iPad from this app, I also doublecheck that all other settings and apps on the iPad are functioning and the speakers are also functioning except this only app which is not playing any audio. I tried deleting the PC from the app and adding it again, I tried deleting the entire RD Client app and reinstalling it again. I tried rebooting the iPad. I’m also running the latest iPadOS version. All these things are checked. I’m running out of options here if anybody have any ideas.
Windows App Mobile (IOS) working with Virtual Machines
This IOS RDP App is very useful unless I am connecting to a Virtual Machine. If I launch a machine using either VirtualBix (already connected to Windows 10) or Hyper-V (connecting directly), there is a problem with keyboard mapping. Whether the VM is Windows10-64 or Linux-64, the keyboard on does not work properly. The issue exists whether I use the Magic Keyboard or the onscreen virtual keyboard. The ONLY way I have been able to communicate is with the Oracle Virtual-Box virtual keyboard unless I use a different RDP App. Using the Windows 10 Remote Desktop App, this problem does not exist. .... unter MAC, IOS, Windows in der Windows APP vormals Windows Remote APP. Habe mehrere Geräte und mein MAC Book ist mein Hauptgerät. Ich hätte gerne eine Syncronisation aller Geräte die mit der Windows APP laufen. Bei mir sind das Handy, Tablets, MacMini, MacBook und ein Windows Laptop. Es ist lästig und nervig neue Verbindung immer auf allen Geräten einrichten und ändern zu müssen. Gerne kann das ja über den MS Account laufen, wäre echt der Hammer wenn das in Zukunft kommen würde. New windows app not work to conect via rdp to old server, in last windows remote desktop app is work. Erorr is We couldn't connect to the remote PC. This might be due to an expired password. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0x207
