Register here Join us for another engaging Discovery in Perspective session as Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, CEO of Multiplying Good and Olympic Gold Medalist, shares her story about becoming the first Black woman to win the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles during Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games and inspires us to win gold medals in life and business. She will also share her perspective on why service leadership is important and how we can all have an impact in our communities. About Benita Fitzgerald Mosley Benita Fitzgerald Mosley is an Olympic gold medalist and an established international leader in the sports and business sectors with a passion for helping people and organizations win gold medals in life and work. With over 20 years of experience leading organizations, Mosley aims to bring her vast leadership and media experience to lead Multiplying Good into the organization’s next chapter of growth and success. Fitzgerald-Mosley was an eight-time national champion and 14-time NCAA All-American at the University of Tennessee, graduating in 1984 with a degree in industrial engineering. A few months later, at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, she won the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles, becoming the first Black woman to win gold in that event. (She also was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team that boycotted the Moscow Games.) Following the Olympics, Fitzgerald-Mosley continued to train while also working as a computer software and hardware systems developer for defense contractors. She was an alternate for the U.S. Olympic team at Seoul 1988. Before being named CEO of Multiplying Good, Mosley served as the Vice President of Community and Impact and President of FundPlay Foundation for LeagueApps, a youth sports management technology platform. Mosley also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA from 2016-2020, leveraging the power of Sport for Good to build thriving kids and communities across the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a charter member of the Tennessee Volunteers Hall of Fame. The theme for the June 2023 Seattle IAMCP meeting will center on Microsoft Technology for Social Impact (TSI). We have 2 great speakers/sessions this month: Microsoft Technology for Social Impact Overview with Bryan Allen, Microsoft Program Manager. If you have not heard of Microsoft’s TSI initiative – their mission is to empower organizations with the tools, resources, and technology necessary to drive social change and solve pressing global challenges. This session will provide an overview of TSI as well as the resources and opportunities for partners to provide products and services and more importantly, to get involved, and to make a difference in the world. Winning in MS State & Local Government with RJ Naugle, REVTech. REVTech created their NAVApp application helps city and public safety organizations to support the needs of homeless, unsheltered, and at-risk populations by providing and provide them with the data to track those affected and connect them with the resources they need. RJ will provide an overview of the NAVApp solution as well as how it has enabled REVTech to co-sell with the Microsoft SLG sales team. About RJ Naugle: RJ has spent his entire career, after his military services as a post 9/11 Army paratrooper being an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and corporate executive in roles ranging from, the Microsoft governance risk & compliance officer and Microsoft military recruiting lead, KPMG information protection manager, Starbucks foundation program lead, and co-founder of REVTech, a national professional IT services firm. Throughout all of RJ’s career roles the theme of being purpose-driven is prominent in all he does and is most evident in his passion for serving underserved communities through technology enablement such as military veterans, and people experiencing homelessness.
