Images are not opened until you close ms teams and reopen it.
Sometime (almost always) my and all my team have a problem with images. I can see the preview of the image in the chat but if I open it I can see the gray background only until I reboot the MS Teams. This issue is applicable for both Mac and Windows OS and Web App. This major issue is reproducebale for a years I guess.
