Hello, I have run into a problem of not having a full access to meeting options. I would like to schedule meetings for other people in the office where I do not necessarily have to attend. I would also like to assign other people as co-hosts so that they are able to admit people and have more control of the meeting. There should be settings of being able to let people come in without waiting in the waiting room as well, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Here is the attached screenshot: These are the only two options I get when clicking "Meeting Options". Additionally, whenever I set up a meeting, some people are not able to respond to it because they get an error of undeliverable response: "delivery has failed to these recipients or groups". What is the issue here? Does it have to do with how Outlook is set up? How can I change these limitations and errors? Thank you so much!18Views0likes0CommentsHow to Add new invites to meeting in teams without sending invite to all existing attendees?
Using the Teams Calendar function: Before a meeting is started, there is a need to add invitees to an existing meeting. Is there way to add the invitee so only the new invitee receives the invitation. Currently, when this function is attempted, all of the invites receive the meeting invitation. If you use Outlook Calendar, it gives you the option to update only the new invitees or all invitees. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks.Solved1.2MViews1like32CommentsMicrosoft Imposes 1-Year Retention for Teams Meeting Attendance Reports
Microsoft has enabled a one-year retention policy for Teams meeting attendance reports. Tenants can’t opt out of the policy or set a different retention period. Microsoft says that the new policy exists to make sure that Teams complies with the Microsoft privacy policy. Another way of looking at the situation is that the new policy will simply remove some old data that no one ever looks at. https://office365itpros.com/2025/03/11/attendance-report-retention-policy/26Views0likes0CommentsMS Teams Video quality is terrible
I am a MS fan for the most part, but you guys need to fix this Teams video quality issue. Our teams have been using it for weeks now and people are regularly getting blurry and poor audio / video quality. We have been pushing people to Teams for the collaboration, etc, but they are pushing back to use Zoom. Here is a video I put together showing this issue. Please MS fix this asap. https://youtu.be/aW3U16OKTiASolved289KViews6likes39CommentsDefault audio devices in teams
Hi All, I use a Lenovo X1 carbon 6th Generation laptop along with a Thunderbolt Docking station. (Windows 10 operating system) I use a usb headset for teams/ meetings and calls. When I unplug my headset, Teams defaults to my docking station. When I plug it back in, my docking station remains as default without automatically placing my headset back as default. (My headset is defaulted for all sound devices) My headset will appear in device options in Teams and I have to re-select it there in order to use it in -teams again. I've found that even after unplugging my docking station and only having my PC speakers and internal microphone as options, Teams will not automatically default back to my headset. It will remain defaulted to my PC speakers and internal microphone. Teams only defaults back if every other sound option is disabled from the sound control panel. However, other meeting software like Zoom and Cisco Webex automatically default to my headset (or whatever new sound device is plugged in) each time without me having to disable other sound devices or re-select it from the Zoom/Webex devices menu. I and many other users at my company have noticed this behavior. Does anyone have any hints or clues to help us out? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a user on New Teams that repeatedly has trouble with screens being shared in meetings by other people showing up as a Green Blocky mess on her end. So far we have cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled New Teams, updated graphics drivers, tested her internet connection (measured at 300Mbps down by 35Mbps Up and she is the only user on it) performed normal system maintenance (SFC, D.I.S.M, CHKDSK), and restarts galore. No luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.5.6KViews6likes41CommentsUsers appearing as Anonymous User (Guest) in Town Hall Q&A
I am not sure if this is expected behavior or not as I cannot find any documentation related to this. When we host a town hall meeting, we are encountering an issue regarding the Q&A feature. When an external participant joins the meeting without signing in, and for example enters "John Doe" for the users name, when submitting a question in the Q&A section, the submission is displayed as from the user "Anonymous User (Guest)" and associated with the email "email address removed for privacy reasons" instead of the name I entered or my actual email address. This behavior is different from when I invite the same external user to a regular teams meeting in which they appear as "John Doe" in the participant list and in chat. I am seeking clarity on why the name and email address were not displayed as entered, and why they defaulted to anonymous settings despite providing identifiable information upon joining. Additionally, I would like to understand how to configure the settings to ensure that external participants' names and provided emails are correctly displayed when they participate in the Q&A. Any guidance or insights on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!1.1KViews1like2CommentsIssue with Meeting Notes View: Box Obstructing Content
Hello, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with the Notes section in Microsoft Teams after a meeting. Here’s what’s happening: When I access the Notes from the Details tab or the Recap section in the Teams calendar, the Notes interface initially appears large enough. However, a white box is obstructing the bottom half of the Notes, preventing me from scrolling or viewing the full content. I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps: Restarting Teams Clearing the Teams cache Restarting Computer Testing on a different device Switching Teams themes (e.g., Light, Dark, High Contrast) Unfortunately, none of these resolved the issue. I’m currently using the light theme and Teams is fully updated. My Teams cache is cleared, and I don’t believe it’s related to system display settings since other apps work fine. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, were you able to resolve it? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Edit: I tried to post this discussion before but it completely disappeared so I hope this works!! I'm trying to join a Teams Meeting with a bot. I used this https://microsoftgraph.github.io/microsoft-graph-comms-samples/docs/articles/index.html#making-an-outbound-call-to-join-an-existing-microsoft-teams-meeting sample. When the bot attempts to join I get the popup to admit or deny it in the meeting, but as soon as I click admit, it drops. In the logs I see this message: Call status updated to Terminated - Did not receive valid response for JoinCall request from call modality controller.. DiagCode: 580#5426.@ I am using the latest (1.2.0.10563 at time of writing) version of Microsoft.Graph.Communications libraries and the problem only started after I updated from 1.2.0.3742 that I was using previously. I could not find any info on what the call modality controller is, or how to check what it is responding if anything. Any ideas on how to troublshoot this are welcome.873Views1like9Comments
