Custom permission to enable diagnostic setting in Entra ID
Custom permissions doesnt works when tried to enable diagnostic settings, in Microsoft Entra ID portal. Error: "does not have authorisation to perform action 'microsoft.aadiam/diagnosticSettings/write' over scope '/providers/microsoft.aadiam/diagnostic Settings/resourcename" Selective permissions that I applied to user account. My approach is to use custom role specific permissions. Appreciate your help to knows the right permission required. Regards, Rajkumar
Run Logic app if new virtual machine is created
Hello, I'm building logic app that get triggered on resource creation event by connecting it to event grid. my goal is only to run this if new vm is created however logic app get executed on every create success event. I noticed whenever there is deletion or creation on VM the logic app get triggered. Even in the event payload there is no difference between create and delete VM. how to limit the call of logic app only if new VM is created?[Solved] Allow PIN support for Windows 10 devices
I want to allow my Windows 10 1909 (Hyper-V VM) to be able to use PIN for sign ins. I have created a non-administrator account and joined my VM during Windows installation to the AAD from the start. I also configured this for PIN policy in Windows 10 in Azure portal - Intune I created a group in Intune and put my VM device + User into that. then I assigned this profile that I created for PIN to that group. added my administrator user as the group owner. I've also read this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3201940/can-t-configure-a-pin-when-convenience-pin-and-hello-for-business-poli still, in my Windows 10 account settings, there is no sign of PIN. i've waited 2 hours, synced my device from AAD portal and also from Windows settings to receive the latest policies. still nothing. I'm running out of clues that why this is not working. any ideas? Thanks in advance

Creating Logic App to Identify Low Storage Devices from Intune
Hello everyone, Iām seeking some assistance with creating a Logic App. I need to identify devices in Intune that have 5GB or less of available space and receive an email with the details of these devices, including their names. Is this achievable?What is the price if we want to host a long running azure function which runs on daily bases
i want to develop an azure function which run daily. The azure function will get all the item from about 10 large SharePoint lists using PnP core with pagination, and filter, group and sort the SharePoint lists to populate SharePoint reporting lists. The azure function execution time will depend on the data size , as the azure function will query all the data from the 10 SharePoint lists. i assume its comsumption in near future can be around 1.5 hour daily. now if we deploy the azure function under the consumption plan we can only run the azure function for 10 minutes which will not be enough so what will be the price for other alternatives plans? i know that we can use dedicated plan or premium plan, not sure which one work better? and what will be the approximate price for such plans?Defender for cloud sending multiple emails, one for the built in roles and another for the others
in the email notifications section of defender for cloud, you can select, owners, AccountAdmin, ServiceAdmin and contributor, then there is another line for additional email addresses (separated by commas), when an alert hits, it is sending out one email for the owners and another email for the additional email list. is this a normal thing? it is making communication between the 2 groups really painful.Azure Dashboard - Displaying data from custom API

Hi there I know that 2023 is over, but if you missed them, here are the decommissions announced by the Azure teams during the month of December: 1). 5G & Space Azure Object Anchors The service will be withdrawn on May 20, 2024. So for those like me, who don't know this service, it allows you to create 3D content objects through virtual points on physical objects. Azure Spatial Anchors Same punishment for the Azure Spatial Anchors service which will be withdrawn on November 20, 2024. Just like the previous one, I didn't know it, and it allows developers to generate mixed reality applications. -- 2). Containers Azure Container Apps On the Azure Container Apps side, the product team has decided to remove the plane 2023-04-01-preview control API from March 6, 2024. You simply need to switch to the latest stable version of the API i.e. 2023-05-01 Azure Kubernetes Service On the AKS side, the Pod Security Policy functionality which was in preview, will be removed as of August 1, 2024. Instead, Microsoft encourages you to use the Pod security admission controller functionality or the Azure policy service. -- 3). Management and Governance Azure Automation On August 31, 2024, change tracking and inventory with the Log Analytics agent will be removed. Instead you are encouraged to migrate to change tracking and inventory in Azure Monitoring Agent. The removal of the Update Management features, as well as the Log Analytics agent as of August 31, 2024. Azure Update Manager is the perfect replacement for Update Management, in fact I'm going to take a look at it because I might have some needed on one of my projects. Azure Monitor The removal of custom alerts from Container insights recommended alerts on May 31, 2024, instead of March 14, 2026. You are therefore encouraged to use the Prometheus rules instead. -- 4). Network VPN Gateway The withdrawal of the Standard and High Performance SKUs for the VPN gateway service on September 30, 2025. You will therefore need to consider using another SKU before this date to avoid any impact on your infrastructure. See you soon š
