8 TopicsModern Events Categories
I have a page where I want to add events that users can see and join. In my company, these events have two categories and I want users to filter only by these two categories (by Category, I mean the option available when adding new event as you can see in this link). However, SharePoint provides a bunch of default categories (e.g. Gift, Anniversary, Work hours, etc.) that the user can select from and which I do not want (see below). Is there any way to remove them and keep only my desired categories? Please note that I found a thread that seems possibly to address the same problem (see here). However, the suggestions given require changing lists through Page Properties, an option which I don't seem to have in the first place (see below)! Please help 🙏 Thanks BeshrSolved16KViews0likes7CommentsCentering Pages in Modern Experience
Hello all, I'm having some trouble searching for a way to center a master page or a modern experience page in SharePoint. There is so much space on the right and I'd like to have it centered rather than have everything all to the left. PS. I removed the current nav on the left (which is what I prefer) Anyone know how I can make everything on my site centered? Thanks!52KViews2likes10CommentsMulti language support for "News recommended for current user"
Hi guys, recently we launched our new intranet based on SharePoint Online. To provide a good overview we added the news webpart using the news source "News recommended for current user" to our landingpage. Most of our news are posted in two languages. The news source "This site" can differ between the languages and only shows one instance of every post. The news source "News recommended for current user" is not differing here. Every user sees posts twice in the webpart, which is not really helpful. Does anyone know if we can improve the situation here? The webpart on our landingpage only shows four posts which gets reduced to two posts since every post is shown twice. Thanks in advance!763Views0likes0CommentsModern Pages treating Draft Pages as Published
Hi everyone, I discovered a weird issue on accident today when a user emailed a screenshot of our home page. The user (which only has Read level access) was viewing the draft of our home page, not the published home page. This is obviously a major issue for a number of reasons. The biggest being that a draft is just that, a draft that is more often than not unfinished and lacking functions, as is my case. Has anyone else experienced this? I've done some digging and found one other mention dated February of this year. Is there some related setting that is disabled that is allowing this? Or something I need to do differently? I checked every possible place I could think of and everywhere, the draft version was listed as such and the last time the page was published was listed as the current published version. So my draft was not the published version, which means the user should never have been able to view it. Hi All, Looking for feedback from the community. In Modern SharePoint Online how and where does one create a custom column or a Page and Library template so it can be available and used at any site. With new Hub and each site being a separate site architecture, the modern SharePoint is quite different than classic architecture. Thank you for your feedback! I'm using Sharepoint online. I disabled in admin page creation few days ago. User has restricted permissions, but they are still able to create pages on my subsite. Yes, the permissions are correct and unique. Is there a way to do it via powershell ? I know i can disable it for specific sites according to this link, However, it doesn't work, always throws an error, and besides it's unchecked at the admin center either way.564Views0likes0CommentsSharePoint Modern Page custom column layouts
Hello, I need to build the following layouts (4-column content and Org Chart / Structure) in SharePoint Modern Page but am having trouble determining which tools to use. 4-column Content: Org Chart: The current problem I have is that the columns for the page layout currently is set max at 3. For the Org Chart, the layout is giving me problems as well since the image of each person is parallel to their name and position (I thought the Text editor webpart would be able to handle it but it doesn't allow images there). Please help guide me what tools I can use or what I can do to replicate the contents from above. For the Org Chart, it doesn't necessarily have to be the same layout as above but at least something to display Org Structure and Employee Details.Solved4.5KViews0likes3Comments
