40 TopicsPlanner tasks "template" for same tasks monthly
The finance department would like to have month end tasks to accomplish, pay xyz, update finance, etc. A lot of the tasks are the same and they'd like to have a Planner task / plan that has a few hundred tasks and assigned to people and have them assigned "March 2021" and then "April 2021" etc. Same tasks, just a Template of the past tasks. They will fill out the tasks and know "Matt updated" "Jane is in progress" etc. Just need to have it recreated over and over again. They plan to try to use this in Teams and have a new channel for each month so 03-2021 and 04-2021 (for example) and then have a brand new Planner plan each month to know the status of the work people are performing. We are looking for a solution. If this is NOT the BEST solution. Please let me / us know. We have M365 E3 license so we can be flexible. I am thinking as I type. I don't know if we could create a Planner plan and have it as the "template" and then maybe have Power Automate "grab" and copy the Planner plan and put it into the new group? Maybe use Power Apps to say "what is the team and the name of the 'new channel' and then Power Automate would create the new Planner from one....maybe a "Planner Teams template team" and then have a General tab, obviously, and a "template channel" with the "generic Planner plan" in it as a tab, that they can update as needed. Can add Jane or remove Rick, or add Jannell, etc.? We are not new to the products, yet not major developers and so it will be tough to just "make it happen." .... which is why we are asking here! Thank you! Matt15KViews1like6CommentsBook meetings for external users and have a limited amount of slots availible?
Hi! We work allot in O365 and specially in Teams. I really lack some kind of option to setup an invite for personal meetings with clients. I know i have the options to send them a mail/meeting in Outlook and hope they approve of that time. But when i have 30 clients and i want to say to them all that i am availble on these 30 timeslots, first one to pick gets the time they want. How can i setup this in O365? I have looked at Bookings, cant figure out if this is possible. I have looked in sharepoint to build some kind of public solution but it seems i can not find a way to only let one person book one timeslot. I have looked at Forms, but again it is the same problem... multiple clients can select the same timeslot. So now i do not know how to find a solution. I can always venture outside of O365 and look at services like Doodle. But id like to keep to O365 if possible. This is a problem for me but i am also investigating this for hundres of colleges in my company that also want this. A simple solution to send out 30 timeslots and let clients pick one and then that one gets marked as "taken". Any ideas of how i can do this?17KViews0likes6CommentsBest 365 solutions for the following...
Hi, I currently have a number of automation tasks I would like to build solutions for and I'm wondering whether they can be built entirely in the 365 software range (PowerBI, Flow, Sharepoint, PowerApps) (I'm a new user). To give a couple of examples: Task 1: 1. Pull csv file 1 from an FTP server 2. Apply some data transformations to a locally stored csv/database file 2 based on file 1 (e.g. appending, groupby) 3. Save the updated file 2 4. Execute API instructions (upload data based on file 2) 5. Run this task automatically on a weekly basis. Task 2: 1. Triggered via a new email into outlook - microsoft exchange account 2. Run this email against a locally stored machine learning model (the model is already built), which returns category data. 3. Based on this cateogry data, move the email into another folder within outlook. Task 3: 1. Pull data from an SQL server 2. Pull data from an API 3. Do some data manipulation 4. Use this report to generate an email report or dashboard 5. Execute this daily I know I can achieve all of the steps in python, but I'm looking for something more robust using 365 software. I've had a quick look at PowerApps, but that looks more geared towards apps with user interaction.? Where would be a good starting point for fully automating these tasks using 365 software? I am currently trying to find the best way to use a form or something like it to collect email addresses on my website. I use it to send them product lists. Currently, I am using the Form I created with only 1 Question that asks for the email. It integrates into the Flow very well and works. However, my Problem is that it is so ugly and uncustomizable. Currently it looks like this: But I would like it to look more like this: Does anyone have any ideas what I could use in order to make it like that? It has to be able to integrate into MS Flow. I currently have two separate Office 365 accounts (one personal and one business) but want to have all my calendar events from both to be centralized on just my personal calendar (even if I just see the Free/Busy time blocked out for business calendar on my personal calendar), for simplicity sake. Is there a way to use Flow to automate a process, so that when I accept a Calendar appointment on one account, it automatically send a copy of that appointment to my second Calendar?1.9KViews0likes1CommentUsing Power Automate to import Google Calendar items?
Is there a way to use Power Automate to automatically pull in Google Calendar items (Free/Busy information only) into my Office 365 Calendar, at the time they are created in Google Calendar? The object is to have my external calendar items from Google automatically populate into my Office 365 calendar, so I see all my appointments across the two service under a single Calendar view (Office 365).2.9KViews0likes1CommentBuild a Crisis Management Site to Connect People and Information
