So, my team use a .TTF we have created and embedded into our PowerPoints. We run Windows 11 on different laptops, usually Dell (if that matters) and have come across som ething very bizarre. When sharing via PowerPoint live in Microsoft Teams the main slide displayed comes across in a random unrecognisable font (not even in English). But the display thumbnails for the presenter show the correct font. And to top it all off, if you view it in the playback it shows the correct font!? Any ideas what sort of shenanigans are happening?4.6KViews0likes10CommentsStatic noise on MS Teams during powerpoint screenshare (Mac)
Hi, I've used Teams for a few years and this is a new problem for me in the last 2 weeks. In Teams, if someone else shares their screen with a Powerpoint, I have very loud static noise so that I can't hear anything else and they can't hear me. I have to read captions/use chat. The noise stops as soon as they stop screen sharing. It's only when they share Powerpoint. If the same person, in the same meeting, same set up, swaps to sharing a PDF of that Powerpoint there's no problem. This has happened several times now - different meetings, different participants, different days, same problem. I've restarted etc. I updated to Monterey (12.6) after it started, but that didn't solve it. Any suggestions on what I should try next? UPDATED: In one case, it seems to happen when they share their powerpoint by selecting from the 'powerpoint live' list - it doesn't happen if they share by selecting the 'window'.14KViews2likes32CommentsTeams Meeting Recording does not include Embedded Video from PowerPoint presentation
One of my customers ran into an interesting issue recently that I have been able to replicate. I'm curious if others are also experiencing this, and if there's a way to make it work properly. Here's the scenario: A PowerPoint slideshow is shared in a Teams meeting using the "Present in Teams" button from PowerPoint. The slideshow contains an embedded *.webm video that was recorded with Stream (on SharePoint). Participants in the meeting are able to see and hear the video correctly during the meeting. In the Teams meeting recording, the audio and video from the *.webm video does not work... it appears blank on the slide as if no video was played. In some testing with the customer prior to the meeting, the video file playback quality was best when using the "Present in Teams" button instead of a screen share in Teams with computer audio. I had assumed this built-in sharing method would be our best route. We did not realize the meeting would be recorded and did not test that specifically. After the issue occurred, I recorded a new video and created a new PowerPoint slideshow to test this in 3 scenarios... First by sharing the PowerPoint app from the Teams meeting. The Teams meeting recording contained the audio and video properly from the embedded *.webm file that was played. Second, from the Teams meeting, sharing the entire screen including computer audio, the embedded *.webm video again played properly in the meeting recording. Third, when using the "Present in Teams" button from PowerPoint, the *.webm video played correctly during the meeting, but the Teams meeting recording did not contain audio or video from the embedded *.webm video, just like what my customer experienced. I can't tell if this is a known limitation, an issue with Teams meeting recording functionality, or an issue with PowerPoint. If anyone has some insight to share, it would be greatly appreciated! I am having problems playing Stream videos embedded into PowerPoint files if I try to do this from Teams Desktop App > Any Team > Any Channel > Files. Whenever I try to play it I get the next screen which basically indicates that I need to sign-in: But if I tried to sign in it load the url web.microsoftstream.com/authendirect which finally does not show anything but a blank page in the browser. I have to say that If I tried to play the stream video directly from the PowerPoint desktop app I actually do it and I can also play the video in Teams if I posted it on any channel. The problem only seems to happen while opening the PowerPoint File from Teams. Any idea or privacy setting that may be affecting this?Solved11KViews1like5CommentsError on teams channel - PowerPoint upload
Hello, A member of staff came to me for advice, as when another member of staff uploaded a powerpoint presentation to a channel, it provides the below error code when clicked on to view / play. I have tried re-uploading from my end, and from the other staff member - but it still shows this error. Might be a small thing I'm missing, any advice would be greatly appreciated! TLDR: Why is TEAMS showing this error when we try to view an uploaded PowerPoint presentation.1KViews0likes1CommentPresenting on Teams
Hello everyone, my mom is a teacher and she has encountered a problem with sharing a PowerPoint presentation on Teams during a call and presenting it. She prefers presenting from a file rather than sharing her screen, but this has caused a problem. Somehow students can go to the file area of the team and I guess check out that presentation which locks her from moving between slides. However, when we tested this version, everything worked fine. What could be the reason for such a block?1.2KViews0likes1CommentSharing powerpoint without note view
Hi all, I am a teacher and am teaching on a digital whiteboard. I am teaching children at home and in class at the same time. Recently there seems to have been a setting changed in teams that when I share my powerpoint it goes to note view which makes the actual size of the powerpoint really small. The children at home can only see the main slide on the screen but the children in class can see the slides that are coming up next and it's also very small for them to see in class. It used to be just the full one screen would show when I shared it but this is the new change. How can I change it back please??2KViews0likes3CommentsHow to skip a slide in Powerpoint in a Teams Meeting?
I like the feature of starting a powerpoint presentation directly in a Teams Meeting. It seems to be better with low bandwidth. But I cant see an option to skip a slide or move to a specific slide. When I stop a bigger presentation I have to click through all the slides to get back to the point where I stopped. Do I miss something?Solved6.2KViews0likes3CommentsFile not found Error - PowerPoint Presentation within Teams Meeting
I ran into an issue this evening where a colleague had trouble getting her presentations to load and present within Teams Meetings on the Mac desktop app. She had shared presentations this way before without an issue. After ruling out a number of other possibilities (file location in recent different from current location, uploading to Team Channel files first, saving a copy of the Shared presentation), she was still experiencing the error and receiving this message: Eventually, my colleague shared the presentation with me and I was able to reproduce the error on the Windows desktop. The error was being caused by the filename 'Class Meeting #4'. Removing the '#' fixed the error for both of us. After having diagnosed the issue, my colleague was also able to fix and present the other presentation that she'd had trouble with this week. Lesson learned: Never include '#' signs in PowerPoint filenames that you intend to present within Teams Meetings. I could not find documentation of this error or issue, so thought it might be helpful to post it here for othersSolved4KViews0likes2Comments
