screen share
11 TopicsMS Teams - When sharing screen on Android, I am unable to navigate, its as if the screen is locked.
Hello, I am trying to share my screen on my android device and have been having some issues. The screen share works, the person on my call can see my screen without any issues. However, my device itself is completely locked. I cannot swipe left or right, I cannot open my app draw or click on any of my apps on the home screen. The only thing I can do is swipe down my notifications bar. I want to share an app with a colleague and talk them through steps to train. I'm using Pixel 3a on Android 12 (latest version). Update I have also rasied this issue with Microsoft Answers: Link3.4KViews1like5CommentsA few of our users are sporadically unable to share their screen or view shared screen in Teams
Symptom: On a video or audio call a user shares their screen but the participants just see their profile picture. When another participant shares their screen everyone can see except the user in question. This is happening to at least two of our users. Things we have tried: 1. Clearing Teams cache (deleting folders from the %Appdata% folder 2. Updating to latest version 3. Complete uninstall/reinstall 4. Windows fully up to date 5. All drivers fully up to date 6. Made sure the applied policy in Admin Centre is the same for everyone (Global Org default, screen share available for internal and external users) 7. Approximately 3 million restarts of the machine 8. Disabled hardware 3d acceleration 9. Checked local privacy settings for meetings This only happens maybe 1 out of every 3 times but it's still unacceptable for the users in question. I can see that there are a number of other reports of this but no solution, other than to turn off the "New meeting experience" which isn't even available as an option anymore... Any other troubleshooting steps available for this?1.5KViews1like2CommentsScreen Share on Desktop App
Started encountering this issue on 06/11/2020. No matter which option is chosen, which screen, which application, doesn't matter. The red outline will show up, but no one will be able to see what the user is sharing. Only fix I have been able to implement is using the web browser version of Teams. Very easy to replicate. Just set up a teams meeting, have multiple people in the room, and attempt to share screen from the desktop app.Solved1.6KViews1like3Comments
