Hello, I'm using Windows Server 2022 and I have this problem: data retrieval on Server Manager. Is there a fix for this issue? Obs: - this is a test lab - all servers are domain members - I'm connecting on all servers with the domain Administrator account. - tested with both Firewall on and off - do NOT recommend this workaround: delete/rename the registry keys HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels\xxx Thank you.Solved206KViews2likes92Commentsfeature Installation Error

Server 2019 Standard (2 each) When opening Server Manager, it takes quite awhile to read the RDS servers and eventually comes back for the local server with the error: Maximum number of concurrent shells for the Remote Desktop Services plug-in has been exceeded. Restart Server Manager, and then try again. I have increased the MaxConcurrentUsers to 2147483647, as well as the MaxShellsPerUser just to make sure: On a Server 2012 R2 server, I have both of the 2019 servers in the server list and open the RDS portion of server mgr and do NOT get this error. It ONLY happens when opening RDS in Server Mgr on the 2019 servers. I have scoured all over the Inter-webs for an answer to no avail. Anyone have a fix for this?5.8KViews3likes11CommentsADCS Notification bug in Server manager
Hi, i'm coming here for some help on the server manager. Has anyone ever had a persistent notification problem on the server manager after a role deployment despite the correct configuration of the role in question? And did you find a solution to remove the notification? On my side, I have a problem with an ADCS that has been installed, configured, ... But a notification asks us to configure the role, and it is already configured. We've set up : Certification Authority Certification Enrollment Policy Web Service I tried to edit a registry key : Set-ItemProperty ` –Path registry::HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ServerManager\Roles\16 ` –Name ConfigurationState ` –Value 2 But nothing happened, same with a reboot. I find that we could uninstall and reinstall the role but that's not really a solution because the ADCS is actually in production. Does anyone have any idea ? env: Windows Server 2016 up to date1.5KViews0likes1CommentConnecting an existing domain to another windows server.
I am new to EC2's and am wanting to create a server that I can connect people on remotely. I have created a domain called "test.r1" I have a static IP on the EC2. Do i need to configure this on server manager. If so how do I do this. Through IPV4 properties. On the other server I have tried to add a domain controller to an existing domain but when typing the domain "test.r1" it displays "the server is not operational" I have been stuck trying to figure out why I can't connect my domain to this EC2656Views0likes1CommentWindows Server 2022 (any build): Add Print Management Console to Server Manager to context menu
This is a long standing issue, eventually could also be backported to existing releases. Scenario: have a server with print server role installed add the server to server manager in Server Manager click on the left pane to to show all servers with print server roles installed right click on a print server from the server list behaviour: The context menu is missing the print management console. expected behaviour: the idea in server manager is that if you select a server from a role category and open the context menu it will show all possible MMC consoles and open them directly with the connection to the server you have selected. e.g. select DNS on the left pane in Server Manager, on the right hand select a Server listed in DNS, right click > DNS > will open DNS MMC for this server. Problem: this is only missing for Print Management Thanks for looking into this and fixing this issues (introed in Server 2012)37KViews0likes2CommentsVBox: Remote Management / Add Roles & Features: The WS-Management service cannot process the request
Hello, I have installed Windows Server 2019 in a VirtualBox 6.1 machine. In the Server Manager I want to activate remote management and install roles like AD DS, but these error messages appear: Local Server \ Remote Management: "The WS-Management service cannot process the request because the XML is invalid." Add Roles and Features: "The WS-Management service cannot process the request. The service in configured to not accept any remote shell requests." I have created the VirtualBox virtual machine as "Windows 2016" and tried several options like EFI, I/O APIC, PAE/NX, nested VT-x, nested paging, NAT, bridged adapter. In the Local Group Policy Editor (Windows Server virtual machine), I have manually enabled "Allow Remote Shell Access" in Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Shell and run gpupdate /force. I have also installed Windows Server in VirtualBox on two other computers, but the same problem appears. I hope anyone can help me solve this problem. What has to be configured to make the WS-Management service work correctly?2.9KViews0likes3Comments
