I am attempting to migrate SharePoint 2013 pages to SharePoint Online and include all content and web parts on those pages. I haven't been able to complete this with a copy using File Explorer, using SharePoint Designer, or using the SharePoint Migration tool. Is there something I'm missing on moving web part pages from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online? Is it even possible or am I going to have to create pages manually.Solved12KViews0likes8CommentsSQL Server Upgrade in place - 2012 to 2014 running SP 2013 On Prem

We have a SharePoint 2013 Site Collection with approximately 200 subsites that allow inherit several content types from the parent. Since we're flattening the hierarchy during the migration to SharePoint Online, we'd like to move the content types to live in the central 'content services' content type area. Does anyone know if this possible to do during a migration or will we need to rebuild those content types and then map the subsites to the new location? Thank you in advance for any guidance.1KViews0likes1CommentSharePoint 2013 - Linking two lists
I have two lists that need to work in conjunction with one another. When one list has an item created, the other list needs to be populated by others as comments. How do I get the second list to generate the required lines so the comments can be made? Further to this, we have to use out of the box techniques to make this work. They do not want scripting and I am not a scripting guru. Details: I have a list called RFS. When someone enters an RFS request, there are contributed who are responsible to analyze the request and make comments in a Feedback list. The comments then are put into the RFS list so that everyone can see. I want to automate it as much as possible to minimize the manual nature due to the lack of technical skills by some of the people. Also, if it is not complicated enough, I could have more than one person who needs to respond from different areas. Any help would be appreciated. Hi All, I am facing this particular issue on Sharepoint 2013 - When I apply a Classification tag to the Sharepoint document metadata, the "Last Modified Date" and "Last Modified By" information is also updated. However, my business requirement is that these attributes get updated only when a document user performs any updates to the document. Is there a solution or workaround to achieve this requirement on Sharepoint 2013? Any suggestions, guidance or advice that throw some light on this, will be a great help. Hey, I created a custom template from a good design but when trying to create new sites based on that template, I always get an error message regarding functionality that is not installed (List Feature, Module Feature, ... see attached screenshot). Any suggestion about where I can check this, find the functionality and install it? Kind regards! aRne1.9KViews0likes1CommentCannot change content types for MS OOXML docs (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, etc.).
In order to create Nintex workflows useable across the site collection, required fields needed to be added to the 'Item' content type. These changes were pushed down to all child content types, including 'Document'. The 'Document' content type was renamed to 'Non-record'. Workflows were applied to the 'Non-record' (previously, 'Document') content type and all other custom content types inheriting from 'Document'. At first it worked, but without major change suddenly stopped. All file types (even, .doc, .xls, and .ppt) change between the default CT and other CTs assigned to the document library. Only OOXML files fail to change CTs. Not sure it matters, but list content types change without issue. The issue seems to be confined to the 'library-side' of SharePoint.955Views0likes2Comments
