"New" Teams meet now defaults to audio call not video call
Hello all, Just been updated to Teams version 23285.3607.2525.937 and in this version, calling other users behaviour in the UI has been changed to instead of having two distinct buttons for either an Audio or Video call, there is now a "Meet Now" button with a drop down where the main click option defaults to an audio call. This is a poor change to the UI design and I also cannot see an option to set video calls to be the default meet now option, is there an option to change the default behaviour and where is it?
Error installing New client
Hi Everyone. am trying to use the new public preview however when I toggle the switch "Try the New Teams", I get this message for a few seconds "The new Teams is downloading and will automatically open when it's finished." but then it switches to an error message "Something went wrong, and we couldn't install the new Teams. Please try again later." I have rebooted, I have updated to the latest version, I have enabled public preview in the settings. I have also enabled a policy in teams Admin to allow myself and my teammates access to public preview. Anyone else seen this?Secondary ringer missing again !!!!!!
Really Microsoft ? After using month to implement this setting in the original Teams Client you missed that setting again in the new client ? Do you even test your products at Microsoft or is this task now outsourced to your paying customers ? I really hope its just hidden somewhere deep below in the settings and i just missed that.
Public Preview - Strange Behavior
Everyone in my org is under the Follow Office Preview by virtue of the global default Teams Update policy. However, some folks are on Office Current Channel (Preview) but do not have the "P" on their profile pic in Teams and don't appear to be on Teams Public Preview. At the same time....some folks are on the preview channel for Office and actually DO have the letter "P" and are on Teams Public Preview. How is this possible? What am I missing?
