Microsoft is making important changes to the licensing and availability of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. We are making these changes in respon...
OK, Microsoft has done a fantastic job allowing customers to purchase Microsoft solutions from whomever they want to. Microsoft just made a Mistake on Licensing with the EEA. (Without Teams SKUs) If you are preemptively avoiding an anti-trust suit by taking Teams out of the Enterprise SKUs. You must do it for both Volume Licensing and NCE. Allowing one contract to provide the technology to the customers and not the other only hurts your customer base. Please remove the SKUs from Volume licensing as well. Also, Let's create a dialog here. I am not just making a statement, I am engaging in a conversation.
As we all learn Microsoft's intent, we will continue to work through the issues. As I have come to learn that all licensing vehicles have been affected, there is still a problem with the strategy that ultimately hurts our customers.
This continues to hurt your customers from finding the correct provider for their licensing. Everything before this stated that if the customer purchased an O365E or M365E at any point, they could keep their SKUs. However, changing provides resets their participation. This means they will need to begin paying more to keep what they have if they need to change providers. Even in the EA Program, Microsoft provides for this process through the COCP program because Microsoft understands some providers are bad for Microsoft Business. Please correct this oversight, or let me know how to guide customers to change from bad providers to good one while keeping their O365E and M365E membership with teams intact.
